    Suddenly too tight...again

I just want to say THANKS to everyone that has posted here. It has given me so much info. I'm heading to the Dr.'s office right now because yesterday I could not even keep Water down and that REALLY scared me. I was sooooo dehydrated. Today, I am able to drink water but I think I want some of my fill taken out. Thanks again and I am going to try to stay more hydrated. Which reminds me, I almost always start my meal with a HOT cup of soup and it does lubricate my stomach and helps me eat. Hopefully this info will help someone else as well! By the way, please ignore my ticker...I can't remember my PIN...I've lost 54 pounds!
  4. Hey Brenda,

Was thinking of you and wondering how you were doing?

    I hope you are ok:)

    Michele

  5. I find this whole website a little frustrating at times. I just figured out how to read postings sent to specific people. Anyway, Thanks for the info on the ticker. I think I'm going to wait a while as I'm not ready to post my weight for everyone to see yet. I wish I could do it in pounds lost to goal. How is everything going for you???

  6. Hi Wndy, sorry i hadn't seen this message before...but I went to the top and pressed the search button...then I typed in ticker. There is a posting with the full explanation and pictures. It did take me a couple of tries...so be prepared to spend about 15 minutes to get it. let me know if you are unable to find the instructions.

  7. Hi brenda,

I've been trying to put a ticker to track my weight loss on my profile and I can't figure it out for the life of me. How do you add a ticker???

    Thanks

    Wendy

I went to Chapman today for my physical....i have insurance but i'm impatient...so I guess I'll just take the debt (my loss!). But in the end, I think it'll be worth it. Hopefully your paperwork will be processed quickly! Happy Holidays, Brenda

Hi Wendy, Yes, they offered to sell me the protein mix and the multi-vitamins (which, by the way, they quoted me over $200) but I told them I would get it at costco. A friend told me that the pre-mixed Protein Drink at Costco is pretty good. My husband is picking it up for me at Costco today. I start tomorrow. They didn't really push theirs on me. OK, the cane makes me a little nervous...but I'm going to stay positive. And the ticker is the fish and bubbles you see at the end of my posting....it'll show how much weight I've lost as I keep posting on this forum. I go tomorrow to their office in Orange to do my blood work and physical. I'll get all the last minute info tomorrow. I'll let you know if something unexpected comes up in the conversation. Brenda

Hi Wendy, I know...I won't be able to eat on Christmas...but that is OK. They told me told me to pay $150 at the physical, which is Monday. Then they told me to pay the rest on the day of the surgery (minus the $150). They probably had me do it that way because I just scheduled the surgery this last week. I had been waiting for Dr Nazarian's office to get back to me, but they never did and when Michele told me about Dr Owens...I called them and they were very good at keeping everything going so that I could get it done on the 5th. I understand that the pre-mixed Protein drinks at costco are pretty good. I'll let you know...I start on Monday...3 Protein Drinks a day...and that is it! (right?) I'll be checking with the doctor on Monday. I'm excited...and I already figured out how to add the ticker....I hope to lose around 75lbs! :tongue_smilie: Brenda

Hi Wendy, Michele told me about Dr Owens so I gave his office a call...and I am now scheduled to do the surgery on January 5th....I am sooooo excited. Yes, I have to start the protein shake diet on Monday...and continue it for 2 weeks...it'll be hard...but I'm sooo excited that I know I can do it! I'm having the surgery at the Rancho office...and yes, I am paying cash. Michele has been keeping me up to date with her surgery, it's been helping me to know what to expect. Did you already have your surgery on the Dec 15th? Anthing I should know? Thanks for any info... Brenda

    Dr. Jamshid Nazarian

Hello Wendy and Michele, This is my first time on this forum. I have not scheduled an appointment with Dr Nazarian as of yet but their office is checking into my insurance. I had originally scheduled an appointment with Dr Ortiz but my mom, who has been an RN for 40 years, was worried about how they might handle complications. My husband was also not very excited about it. So, now I am searching Dr.s in the US. I've read all of your postings and I hope to follow along so that I can know what to expect. Originally, I was hoping to have the surgery in December because I will also be on vacation (teacher) but from what I can tell from your postings, it'll be about a 40 day wait in order to go through all the hoops. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself....and thank you for all of your info. Brenda:rolleyes2:
