Hi NZ lapband op in Feb 2009

I have now been band on the 16th Feb 2009 and I feel great!! I haven't found any one on here from NZ yet just everyone overseas. But I feel good. I don't feel any different but always thinking of the good positive things. The op was a breeze no pain in shoulders or any where else. Will be going on pureed food on Sunday so happy to have something else instead of shakes from OPTIFAST!!!

    A little nervous.

Hi, I'm in NZ and I just got band on the 16th Feb 09. So it's been 11 days!! I went in on the Sunday night and had the op on Monday morning and stayed in over night and came out on Tuesday afternoon. I also did the Optifast for 2 weeks before and I am still on it until Sunday and I change over to pureed food. The only discomfit after the op is were the port is and that is it. There was nothing to be scared of in the operating theater all was good. I have not had any pain in my shoulders or any where else. After doing the OPTIFAST I have lost 10kgs and to date since the op all up 13kgs So good luck and you will be fine!!!
  5. Thank you Lvndreamz!! Those words of how everything went for you is so good to know! I am getting band on Feb 16th 2009. And for me all my thoughts of the surgery has now been answered and I am grateful for that:thumbup: At the moment I don't have any fear or quires I just can't wait for the experience to happen I figure its like a bungi jump JUST DO IT !!!
  6. Hi I too am getting banded in Feb 2009 in Aotearoa, New Zealand. Here you go and listen at a seminar for about 2-3 hours then make an apt to see a surgeon and a dietitian then another for psychiatrist and then another pre-op apt with surgeon and dietitian then the operation all up 6 mths and that is with no insurance. Paying out of your own pocket. But all good
