Did the newsletter Jeannie mentioned at the support group Monday get emailed. I didn't get a copy if it did could someone send it to me?
-
I am doing good with it. I had my first fill last Monday. I found out the hard way that I had to be careful with dry foods now that I don't have any drinks with meals. I choked a little on a dry piece of chicken. I will be at the meeting Monday, I will play golf early that day.

The other question I forgot to ask Kaplan was about Exercise. When do I go back to a regular workout? I have been walking some lightly in the park but that is about it.

The meeting was cancelled on Monday is there going to be a make up date and time. Another question I have is that I begin mushie stage on Friday, my girlfriend was wanting to cook me something and she was wondering if she can take lean ground turkey/beef and fry it up then run it through a food processer to cut up even more when done and add it to gravy?

Hello, Surgery went good and I have been doing well. I still have an issue with a little bit of gas in the morning but overall doing ok. I am tired of broth and taking it easy by walking around. I am glad it is raining so I will not miss playing golf as much.

I made the weight loss requriement again so I am ready for surgery on thursday. Now is the time for nerves to start. I am going to my parents house to recover due to my apartment being stairs and more stairs and not to be alone during recovery.

I have been looking at different protien powders to use after surgery. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I couldn't find it on the web page but that sounds interesting. The Cardiac specialist cleared me for surgery now it is just a waiting game to get a new surgery date. I know Susan is on vacation this week and the office told me that they haven't gotten a letter from Avington yet. My insurance clearence has expired should I get in contact with Jeanie about that or will the office handle an extension?
-
The nurse at Kaplans told me as soon as they get the all clear from the Cardio department they will get me in asap. I will have to go back on liquid diet again to lose ten pounds but that will not be a problem
-
I agree I am below 400pound for the first time in 2 years although the 19 pound in 2 week about did me in. It was to rapid of a loss for me Jeannie said was why my energy was down. It could be "Obesity caused Tachycardia" also that is causing mine to be messed up. I feel fine right now and will keep up my regular diet and exercise. I will also copy some of the recipes in the cookbook if you want them. There is a couple of chicken and fish ones that I am eating now.
-
I went for my weigh in with Jeannie today and found out there was a problem with my EKG. My surgery is post-poned till I see a cardio tech and and will probably end up having a stress test. The good news was that I did lose the weight.

How did your surgery go? I am having mine on July 2nd and right now I am nervous. -
You are right, I was trying to chew them to see how good they would go and they are impossible to chew. So scratch that idea. I got a cookbook I puicked up at Ollies title diet after bariactic surgery. I been looking at some of the recipes in it and it tells you what stage they are for.

I know one of the 4 oz of protien I found is the Roasted Garlic chicken links in Sams. 1 link has 5g 5, 17g protien, and less then 1 carb.

I know the feeling I am my 2 week diet and it is as bad as everyone says. Especially at work where most of the people went out to chinese for lunch. I have an IVC filter placement on the June 25th. My surgery date is July 2nd.

I have the basic option and I started the process in December and had visit to a dietician to monitor my weight and diet class. I also had the physc exam. I am schedualed to see the surgen on June 15, to schedual my surgery date. I think it also varies with the surgon you go to.
