Well, I've had enough. I've seen too much ugly on LapBandTalk today. I'm seeing the same behavior that was on Obesity Help. At least there, it was an attack against anyone choosing LapBand. But here we are on the same road, yet petty behavior ruins the experience. Someone else can take Gone for Good Club for September. I am deleting my posts and membership. I am only reading this thread, because it was NEW when I just logged on. Then I realized this was the reason why the August Gone for Good Club thread was gone when I returned after a vacation. :) :( :( :( :( :( :( :( I feel so bad for CanadianSunshine, who took on a big job as leader in August, then had this mess ruin her month. I haven't seen CanadianSunshine post since this happen, and I would hate that this caused her to leave LBT. Likewise, there are many who are scared enough of the Internet to start, that they would leave without saying a word. As the person leading the September Gone for Good Club, I ask everyone to keep their non-weight issues off that thread. The Club has been a lifesaver for me as I am sure others on LBT. We need to be positive and focused on the GOAL. From what I can see, everyone involved in the mud is on LBT -- even if they had to create a new name and profile. Which makes LBT security suspect. So be careful about the personal information you post, if you are thin-skin. This is the first day of a new month. Why don't we all take a long, hot bath and come back with this behind LBT and commit to a positive attitude. I left Obesity Help, because there was so much bad behavior. We all are wearing big girl panties (that we hope are shrinking in size), so let's stop the playground behavior and support each other. LapBandTalk is a great site. Welcome, 503!! I started at 450 and found a good bariatric scale. I'll hunt down the info and send it to you. This group is great!!! PhotoNut, where do we stand for September? Am I responsible for GFG in September or did CanadianSunshine agree to take another month? I only lost 3 lbs in August, but considering I've lost 74 since March 15th, I'm not complaining.

I hate missing drama!!! Dang, I go away for a last summer fling, and y'all get the thread locked down. August has been a HORRIBLE month for me. I've lost 2 lbs the first week, then have sat there the rest of the month. I am praying for a major body quake by Wednesday. Now, does this mean I am still doing the GFGC in September, or PhotoNut are you back running the club full-time (I hope).

"Oh, Canada..." My SWS gift arrived this morning!!! Carol (Woodys), who is banded and currently at MY goal weight, sent a lovely box with the man in brown shorts. The card touched my writer’s heart, and you have my love of whimsy. The picture is coming. I had to have a cup of mint medley and read one of the books. The gift package included: A tote bag with the caption: Writers Rule The Wrong Word Dictionary (boy, will that come in handy) Oxymoronica by Dr. Mardy Grothe (a book that was on my wish list) A Canada mug filled with a variety of Bigelow teas (I am a mint tea addict) Three resistant bands (most of the weight I’ve lost is by working out with bands) A visor for Changes Fitness Centre for Women A cap for Woodys Fine Dining One summer, I am going to explore Canada. I’ve never been, but my SWS gift came from the Maple Leaf Land, and I am soooo hyped in the beauty of the country. And yes, when I go, I will have to visit Fenelon Falls, Ontario and Woodys Restaurant. Carol, the menus have my mouth watering. Plus, I can work off the delicious meal next door at Changes Fitness Centre for Women. All I need now is a clothing store for my new size. In Karr's case, he was never a certified teacher. He only applied for substitute positions. Substitute teaching is like day labor -- anyone can walk off the street and get hired. I was a substitute while in college working on my English education degree. You just have to be breathing to be a sub. WHAT I hope this will do is send alarm bells off in all school systems to put up safe guards for hiring substitute teachers.

I haven't been able to turn off MSNBC since they broke the story yesterday afternoon. John Mark Karr wrote letters to Patsy saying he was sorry. His ex-wife says that he was in Alabama Christmas that year. One lesson is that it is TOO EASY to work as a substitute teacher in this country. THAT is what he did in Alabama, Georgia and California. It appears each time he was dismissed due to conduct with girls. He only subbed in lower grades. Substitute teachers need a background check, just like the certified teachers are checked. I "hope" it is proved that he did it and closes this case. Part of me fears that he is a mental case seeking fame.

Telly, I think you will look beautiful -- hair or no hair. I considered shaving my head several summers ago, when I had hair down to my butt. My hairdresser talked me into my current short cut. After feeling my head before cutting, she said I didn't have a head that would look good shaved. Seems I have this pointed ridge at the top of my head -- a lizzard crown. I guess, if I ever lose my hair, I'll just paint my head green.

PhotoNut, I'm saving a wall for your photography. I still can't believe that a package I mailed Thursday afternoon, arrived Saturday -- cross country!! I can't usually get a letter to Savannah that fast -- seems it has to go through Atlanta first. This was so much fun to do. I can't wait for the next holiday!!! BTW, I walked out of my clothes hauling the trash to the curb Thursday. My v-neck t-shirt keep falling off my shoulder, then my boobs popped out of my bra, and finally, my pants started falling down. It was an interesting dance to the curb at 7am. Thank God school doesn’t start till next week, or I would have given all the buses heading to the primary school quite an education. I knew my pants were loose, and I needed to buy new ones. I just hadn’t measured myself to know what size to get. Seems I’ve dropped 3 sizes. Don’t applaud – I’m not a size 8. The fun part was digging through my bra drawer hunting for something for the girls. I went from a 54DD to a 48D. I’m the size I was when I turned 40. Of course, I still weighed less then, but I plan to revisit that number by December. Hurry Christmas!! PhotoNut and I will be 50 and can wear red hats, dance in the streets and play kazoos. OK, I already do that.
