    Protein - I'm at a loss...

Try Max Protein by SEI Pharmaceuticals. It is also called Ultimate Protein. You can order it online or go to a non-corporate owned GNC and they have it. I tried about 9 different protein powders and this one is my favorite. It is SO good. ( 22 grams of protein and 110 cal per scoop) Google world according to eggface. Its a blog, her name is Shelly and she had WLS she posts the most amazing recipes. It is the protein she uses for everything. Her protein ice cream is so good. She also has a TON of recipes for Protein shakes. Good Luck! Heather

    Any Long Islanders?

Hi Lauren, I was told that I have 2.5 in mine from surgery and have not needed a fill yet. I was banded by Dr. G Feb. 3rd. I have plenty of restriction and loss has been good so I have not been in for a fill yet. You may still be swollen from surgery. Call the office they may be able to tell you how much is in your's. Pain-uncomfortable

I had a lot of pain at port site too and the only thing that helped me was the ice-pack. I used it pretty much non-stop for the first 4-5 days. Good Luck!
  8. I am doing good. I have not had a fill yet. I am going to Dr. tomorrow so I will see if I am getting one tomorrow. I am down 36 pounds. Keep up the good work you are doing great!

  9. Hi Heather - Just checking in to see how you are doing? I am happy so far, just had my 2nd fill, down a little over 30 since I started my pre-op on 01/23 & surgery 02/06. How about you?

  10. Andrea, Are you still taking painkillers? I know for me the nausea was so bad that I could not take the painkillers anymore. Once I switched to Tynlenol I was fine. Good luck and hang in there. Heather

    Any Long Islanders?

Figured I would introduce myself I was banded by Dr. Geiss on 2/3 and am finally feeling back to normal. I woke up today and for the first time I shot out of bed and did not have a pain in port site. Every day it gets better. I am down 24 pounds. I need to work on exercising at this point. Anyone interested in an exercise buddy?

    Anyone banded Feb 3, 2009

I too was banded on the 3rd. I am having a MAJOR queasiness problem. I am living on ice chips. I had 2 4oz protein shakes today. I switched to tylenol in hopes that my stomach would settle without taking the narcotic painkiller, but I think one of them is stuck. I have been slowly working on getting it down. Surgeon said I could take pills, but now I break them up first. I was not expecting to be this sore though i'll be honest. Very happy i did it but Wow, am i ready to start feeling better.

    Any February 2009 Bansters?

Hello All, I had my surgery yesterday at about 9:30. I was released today and am feeling good. My main complaint is the pain in port site. I don' even feel the other incisions. I had my last pain shot at 10 pm and have managed with just tylenol since then. I am very tired, but do not sleep well in my back. I was on protein shakes for a week before surgery and lost a litle over 12 pounds. Yeah
  15. I would just like to say Thank you to everyone who replied to my plea for help. I greatly appreciate it. I am going forward with my surgery. I offered the 3 month wait in hopes that I could convince him in time, but I think him seeing how committed I am to this has made all the difference. We had a VERY long talk and I showed him alot of what you all had to say. I reminded him of the visit to the surgeon and the support group meetings that he attended with me and how alot of his concerns were addressed at those meetings. It is not a matter of jealously for him, he is just genuinely fearful that something will go wrong again. I actually said to him what tdteach99 said a "couple of hours of worry or a couple of decades without me because of what would happen to me later in life if I stay this way" and for him it clicked. A light bulb went off. SO he is still WORRIED, but he is on board. SO again Thank You All SO Much. Two weeks from Today!
