  1. I haven't really tried grits, but I've had a lot of oatmeal and cream of wheat since my procedure. Speaking of Chinese, I had that for dinner tonight; I was able to eat sushi, lomein noodles, and fried fish.

     

    Have I had "rough" spots with food yet? Yeah, but I really only think that's because I'm still learning how to eat slowly. I can't exactly eat bread yet, but I suspect that I will in the near future.

     

    So, your mother went down that many sizes in one year? That's really impressive! I'm hoping to look like my pics by the middle of the Summer, but I'm not getting my hope up too high; I'd be happy to be half-way there by then.

     

    You're right about the one-week pre-op diet. I binged like crazy the week before my pre-op diet and managed to gain close to 10 lbs!!! I can't tell you how relieved I am to have my portions under control.
