  1. Thanks, pretty lady! Whatever- you don't need a tummy tuck. I actually thought you'd had one, because there was such a drastic difference between the photo you took that had a caption talking about needing a tummy tuck and the photo where I asked if you ended up getting one. The skin looks as though it's stretching back on its own. You're young enough that, hopefully, it'll tighten up without surgery! :)

You look fantastic and you kick some serious booty!

    July 2009 Challenge

    I. An Update: My friend, Laurie, suggested that I set a goal for myself that didn't involve a particular weight at first. I figured it was time to start moving, especially since I had slacked off entirely and was eating all sorts of crap, just in smaller doses. I intend to track my weight each week, at the same time of day, and see how the exercise affects the scales. My week will run Sunday through Saturday, though I will weigh on Monday mornings. II. Goal Setting: Goal:Exercise a minimum of 3x a week x4 weeks Reward: Full body massage Materials Used: III. Progress: Week of June 29 [255.6] Monday, June 29: The Method Tuesday, June 30: The Method Friday, July 3: The Method Week of July 6 [255.4] Sunday, July 5: The Method Monday, July 6: Dance Off the Inches: Hip-Hop Party Wednesday, July 8: The Method Thursday, July 9: The Method Week of July 13 [251.7] Sunday, July 12: Dance Off the Inches: Hip-Hop Party Wednesday, July 15: Dance Off the Inches: Hip-Hop Party Saturday, July 18: Dance Off the Inches: Hip-Hop Party Week of July 20

    July 2009 Challenge

Wow! 6 days a week? That's amazing! I hope to become that accomplished eventually. Right now, I'm aiming for 3 days a week and feeling ultra-proud when I get in 4! LOL! But I figure that's decent for someone who was allergic to the word "exercise" two weeks prior.

    Anyone on here single?

Dang! I guess I'm the hopeless romantic/neo-idealist that assumed love transcended bodily bonds. Ah well. That sucks!

    Need some encouragement from you!

You know... we should probably be LBT accountability buddies. I'm gonna PM you my contact information. I was banded 12/30/2008 and have lost about 50ish lbs. I started at 306 and weighed 255.4 last Monday. Tomorrow I weigh in again to see how these past two weeks of exercise have helped. I know exactly what you mean about kinda feeling like a failure. My mother was banded 03/11/08 and has gone from a 24 to a 6. Until I started to exercise (a whopping two weeks ago, cos I'd been a total slack-ass) she would question every time I ordered at restaurants or went snooping around the kitchen. And even now, if I tell her I made a pizza and that I had 3/4ths of a slice for lunch and two slices for dinner, she interrupts with, "You ate the whole thing." LMFAO WHAT?! Since when is 2.75 slices of pizza a whole pie?! :huh2: 120 lbs in 7 months?! Did you quit eating?!

    Exercise dvd's...

:frown: I LOLed IRL real hard! LMAO! You should see me and my white-girl self trying to figure out how to pop and pump, or pop and lock, to that "Dance Off the Inches: Hip-Hop Party" cardio DVD I've been trying. I guess I just need to find a mirror large enough to compare the way I contort my form to the way the chick on the DVD does. I feel like I'm doing it wrong. But perhaps it's one of those things where, the more I do it, the easier it becomes.

    Anyone on here single?

Oo! Do explain, please! :frown: Thank you! Perhaps it will make me feel better about being alone. Sometimes it can be a bit depressing when I'm surrounded by couples and have yet to become half of my own pairing. Or how, if I arrive to an event which winds up being comprised of couples, I'm automatically linked to the single guy I came with. (Not that I mind. I typically only hang out with guys I would consider dating.)

    Exercise dvd's...

I'm working with these two, primarily. The one on the right is a LOT harder than I thought it would be.

    Anyone on here single?

LOL! I know what your mom means. I haven't had a boyfriend in four years, much less a genuine date! (Sure, I've had a bedfellow, but I wouldn't consider that an actual date.) While most people know I am banded, I figure there's no reason I need to tell a guy I am "talking to" unless things were to get serious. When it comes to things like going out to eat, I would just push my food around on my plate and eat what I can, but get a box for later. Thankfully, for decades, women before us have opted for salads on dates and eaten smaller portions than if they're out gorging with their female companions. With that stereotype set forth, we're able to get away without explaining why we are no longer members of the "clean plate" club. However, one thing that has come up- sex. And, for the most part, I tend to be nude during such activities. :frown: Rather than let my partner see the scars but feel uneasy asking what they're from, I straight-up told him they're from surgery. If anything, he was proud of me, particularly once I told him that the band has not been an "easy way out" method like ignorant people think. It was fun explaining all the hard work I put into chiseling away at my underlying goddess.
