What did you eat today, Hotties??
hollyberry8 replied to kristilaw's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Forgive me, but I have got to post this here as well. I had salmon last night with squash it was sooo good. This being my first real meal since surgery, because I have been overly cautious. All is well! I am still satisfied!! Lena you crack me up. I too, am a southern girl (born in florida) with the love of grits. Holly Banded 1/29/09 [/img] -
Thanks Bee, I have forgotten that subtraction equation between carbs and Fiber. I'll definitely change to the sugar free metamucil, it has been doing its job so far. I was able to actually eat a dinner last night of salmon and squash. So satisfying and all was well! Holly Banded 1/29/09 [/img]

Lena: That is so hard to keep the carbs under 30 grams. It is no wonder you are loosing so well. My viactiv chew has 4 carbs. Do you count the creamer in your coffee. Even my metamucil has 6 carbs. Way to go Lena. Keep up the carb counting. Holly Banded Jan. 29th, 2009 [/img]

Kristil: Boy, I know I need help on this mushies stage for ideas. I've been too careful. Started yesterday with One portion of egg beaters. Then today I had two portions=1/2 cup. I did better on that. lunch today was left overs from last night W.W. Black bean Soup from their cook book. That was good for 12 g. Protein and about 200 calories. For alittle less than a cup. Glad to here you are doing well. Holly Banded Jan. 29, 2009 [/img] -
Greetings: I have all the above also. The swelling of my fingers is better today. The spasm I think is more in my chest but very short lived. We are moving along and are going to be great soon!! Holly Banded Jan. 29th 2009 [/img]

Welcome new January banders! More of us have made it in at the end of the month. For those of us who can belch that is good rather than not getting it out as fast. Every doc is different. I am glad I don't have to try to get 60 grams of protien down now. Though, I'm thankful for Protein Water. Love your sign offs, all is well and soon to be 100%. Holly [/img] Banded January 29th, 2009

Tomorrow is the big day! I'm taking a small pillow (they said it would help on the ride home) to hold it against your stomach. Gas x check. ID. check. Ins. card check. Yep, I like lists to bandiegirl. Best wishes to us all. [/img]

Lena: Good Idea!! Thanks for starting this topic! I asked my doc on my pre op consultation. He said that was very likely to happen and plan ahead with your liquid Fiber products like metamucil, ect. He perfer that first before the harsh chemicals. Now that said I have used and read on the band sites someone drinking tea. I have used deiters tea it works but be prepared for cramps. Your doing awesome good luck to you. Holly Band day coming quick date Jan 29th. [/img]

Hungry doesn't seem to be a problem post -op. Now I'm hungry:toetap05: my band day is not til Jan. 29th. Best wishes HOLLY http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt/t/wRPbZYS/weight.png' alt='a>'>

Re: January bandsters our time is coming!!! had my banding yesterday at 9am. slept alot yesterday. feel pretty good today. of course, the belly is a little sore. pretty gassy. otherwise it was not a bad experience at all. looking forward to cream soup and milk tomorrow. good luck to those with upcoming surgery. __________________ Hello All! I get banded on Jan.29th. SLC, Ut. I am so excited and of course alittle nervous. So glad you are doing well. Where are the gas pains you refer to located. The reason I asked is I was told some gas you can pass and other comes out thru your skin. Hopefully it is all short lived. Maybe you can walk it off. Sincerely Hollyberry -
