Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris

Of course you can be another of our adopted sisters Mmm and join Flirty as we made her one too! You have to be very experienced and proficient in bickering and pinching clothes tho! But as we are the same age, we will have to be twin sisters, and as we are same boob size, we can share bras! (There's a Fantasie one I've got my eye on if you'd like to get that for your birthday?) Twinsis xx (Down side is you get Gillian as a little sis!) Starsky - I'm sure yours will be deflated soon after banding too, your date will soon be here. Hope you're all prepared, how is the fluid intake going? Bigsis xx

Hi Mmm and very happy birthday. I got measured/fitted last week and we are the same bra sizes now - think that means we are practically related! Only I didn't go to high fallutin Madam Fancy Pants or whoever she is, went to good old Marks. Have a great evening, especially if you're going out. Bigsis xx Welcome to Deedee. I have only lost 2st 4lbs so far and have been banded since middle of January so it can be slow, especially after the initial good loss that usually follows soon after surgery but you have to try not to get disheartened if that happens. Hope you have seen the last of your 'rugby ball' bowel problem, save by the Movical eh?! Bigsister x

Yes, Mmm. Wendy tells us Dr Chris & co will be giving out cards/details of WLS and their locations to patients who have just had the band surgery. If you have any specific concern re liability, just discuss with Wendy before having any fill with her and I'm sure she will be able to address your worries. Anitahug - I asked and she said that they are not becoming business partners but would be working in a kind of partnership endorsing each others companies - that is how I understood it anyway. Hi Mmm, many happy returns for tomorrow and to Toppings for today. Me and Gillian have been to see Wendy today (I've not lost anything, Gill lost 4lbs) and she told us that herself & Michelle from WLS had met with Dr Chris & co (yesterday?) and will now be undertaking some of their aftercare. She said that ECFS would still be providing it themselves in the UK at their regular locations but would be giving out details and recommending WLS for other areas in the UK that they do not cover. Apparently Dr Chris was most impressed with Wendy's wealth of knowledge and experience and after quizzing her, said that she probably knew more than some surgeons about the procedure/aftercare etc. Also, WLS will be offering a package which includes surgery with Dr Chris and the price also includes 3 years aftercare/fills with them so anyone who hasn't booked yet may want to check it out, details will soon be on the website and on request beforehand if required. Hope everyone is doing good, Bigsis x

Hi Sammy, just in case I'm not on again much in the week, have a wonderful holiday and take good care of yourself, x Anitahug - hope your problem is soon resolved, never had anything like that myself but sounds v unpleasant. Homecare - hope your relatives can get a date sorted out soon, even if it is later than they would have preferred, it will soon come round. Hope everyone else is doing fine, Bigsis xx

Hi and welcome Galatea. Have never heard of this type of band, which manufacturer is it? Certainly sounds worth considering if it can cut out some of the risk of leakage etc and maybe worth the extra payment? You'll have to let us all know any further info, it may be helpful for any pre bandsters on here, Bigsister x

Thanks for the sympathy Sammy, feeling quite aggrieved and sorry for myself, will insist on at least a full pint of fill next week I think! Will have good ole moan to Wendy - who I'm sure will be taking good care of you over the coming months. Look after yourself, love Bigsis xx Ps Any toxic nappy from Harrison yet?

Hey - don't blame me for your 23 yr old son's penchant for cross dressing. And I don't think he had even wet himself that day, I was just bored and wanted a bit of fun at a toddler's expense! And yes, Sam's bulging neck was def more bulldog than baby, in fact he was born at least 17" collar size. But he fits the x large size doggy harness quite well now doesn't he?! Back to band talk - I got weighed this morning in Boots and have put 2lbs on in 3 weeks so feeling quite depressed about that, especially as it pushed me back up to 11st 1bs instead of in the 10's. Definitely gonna need some more fill when I go next Tuesday. Hope everyone else is doing better at least, Bigsis xx

Aah, big congratulations and very best wishes Sammy! Its a first forum user baby isn't it? Altho its a hell of a sneaky way to avoid working - back to back mat leave?! Another one like gorgeous Harrison eh - Cutesville Central at your house before long! You've no hope of getting in those trousers for long now! Love, Bigsis xx

Ooh Sammy, was that wise? Fall out could well be the right phrase - hope you've double nappied him?! We'll hear the explosion in Sheffield! Hope you've no visitors tonight - well, nobody that you like anyway?! When are you due to go back to work? Bigsis xx

Hey Garry, just cos your band's up the spout, don't go trying to sabotage our weight loss with your lure of Belgian chocs - that's below the belt/band! Seriously tho, sorry it wasn't something simple to sort out, was very perceptive of you to realise there was summat up early on tho. Well done for keeping your spirits up - think I would be crying in a corner for 6 months at least if it were me! Hoping for a fast resolution to this for you, Bigsis x

Maybe it wouldn't help so if not, stick it in a bucket of GnT (after good rinse of course) - can guarantee that'll definitely help! Bigsis xx

Facebook ok Freckles but maybe turn off webcam? Just a thought, there's some things we don't need to see, the mental images are quite sufficient! Get the ice packs out! Bigsis xx

Hi Starsky. I took over 2 weeks off work and certainly couldn't have gone back after a few days. Having said that, everyone is so different with their recovery and maybe some would be ok but I would definitely give yourself at least the following week if you possibly can. Bigsis x

Yeah, maybe you could offer a text service for updates - take your mobile to loo for an 'as it happens' progress report to interested parties who have signed up?! Or have you thought about Twitter?! Glad you enjoyed your holiday Wishfull, we were both in Scotland at same time last week. It was my first time and I loved it. Also called off at Bamburgh Castle which had stunning stretch of coast beside it. Bigsis xx

Hi Starsky, you will be glad you took up the 6 months package with WLS, especially when you meet the Wonderful Wendy, when you go mention you know the Sheffield Sisters from the forum and listen to her groan! On the fluid front - I can't do just water so I have Robinsons low sugar fruit & barley squash, pink grapefruit and find that so much easier than plain ole water, could you give that a try? Bigsis x

Hi Toppings, sounds like you are doing fine with the pre-op diet. It is pretty much what I did, made low fat choices. Think I remember a previous post that advised going for foods with a fat content of no higher than 5g per 100g weight and that this was a good rule of thumb. Good luck for when your date comes round which will just fly by now and you'll be in Belgium before you know it. Bigsister x

Hi Sarah, it's low fat diet, you needn't be looking at anything else really. It's cos low fat consumption will help shrink the liver in preparation for the surgery and can make it a bit easier. Bigsister x

Hi SP - I love fresh beetroot and have it most days with my salad, perhaps that's why I don't usually have any probs like Freckles. Apart from when I have to be on liquids only following a fill, will have to try beetroot smoothie then from now on! Can't say brisk walk tempting me as much tho! Bigsister x

Wassup Freckles! Just on my lunch break (I work from home some days) and your constipation chronicles have made me laugh - sorry if wasn't s'posed to! Please let us have regular updates and news flashes as & when but preferably not too soon after tea time! Maybe we could make it a regular forum feature at the same time every day where you could post your current bowel status? Also loving Niki's description of the Bridget's (pants). Lunchtime almost over, will check in again later, Bigsis xx

Think it would still be worth you taking out the package (presume with WLS) as you will still need fills even if you are struggling at the moment and the clock won't start ticking until your first appt. I think WLS recommend being on liquids following band surgery for 6 weeks if I remember the info correctly which is in contrast to the info we were given after surgery. If you take out the package, see if it is possible to speak to Wendy and ask her advice but still think it is early days yet for solid food to be an issue even if everyone else seems to be managing it! Hi Fatduck. I seem to remember Wishfull saying she was off on a holiday around the time Flirty was going for surgery and so that is probably why she hasn't been posting in a while? I know what you mean about unanswered posts and like you say I'm sure it has happened to us all (it certainly has to me at times). But we should try not to take it personally as we don't know everyones circumstances in respect of work/home life or caring responsibilities for instance. It's good that some people have more time on their hands than others to devote to the forum and are more available than others to answer questions/give advice or info or just to lend an ear.
