Rachel, lapband.com has the dietary guidelines from the company that makes the lapband. The first six weeks is listed under the link for the 1st year with the lapband. It sounds like it's a little closer to Dr. Hitchcocks opion.
We should all do what we are most confortable with.
Talk to you soon

Rachel,
I'm having another good day. I know what you mean about having the staples removed. I'm glad to hear it was easy. I starting to get board sitting around doing nothing. I know there's not much we can do at this point. How are you doing? How is your blood sugar?
PS. My husband is in Iraq. He left in January for his 4th 12 month tour. He supports my surgery. He was able to go to the seminar with me before he left. I can't wait for him to come home to a NEW ME!

Rachel,
I'M DOING GREAT! Movin a little slow but I have no pain,
I'm taking the Loratab every 4 hours so I don't get any.
Dr Hitchcock and the hospital staff were great just like you said. I quess I had a hiatal hernia. I had know knowledge of that. Surgery went just as scheduled. 9am and home at 11:45. Drive through surgery is amazing.
I slept on and off yesterday. Apple juice was my drink of chose. It felt good on my throut. I need to learn to only sip. I keep forgetting. Who thougt that would be hard?
I changed one of my bandages. My incision looked beautful Dr. Hitchcock did a great job.
How are the mushies going? Is everything going down ok?
When I get to have mushies I want to have a sweet potato. Not sure why it just sounds good right now.
Your back to work right? Hows that going. Do people at work know about your surgery? Mine do. What day is your post op appt? I wonder how it feel to get the staples out?

Rachel,
I'm so addicted to this website. I have been logging on several times a day for 3 months. Pre-op is going fine but I do get hungry. I wish I could have more fiber. Today I got really hungry around 3pm. I knew if I ate dinner early I would have a hard time the rest of the night. Jello just doesn't go very far. So I had 3. I think it's going to be a long weekend.
Wow I'm glad food is coming back so fast post-op. I bought a Magic Bullet type blender to prepare. I just want some more choices.
I'm one of the lucky ones. I have duel insurance. I have no out of pocket costs. How about you?

Rachel,
Two days left. I can't wait. I have to be at the hospital at 7am. Surgery at 9am. My daughter will hang out with me for a few days. She will be a good caretaker if needed. Thanks for all the helpful info.
Are you still on clear liquid? I'm not sure how long clear lasts. When are you heading back to work? I will have a week.
Take care
