Self-Fill are you doing this?

Originally Posted by mango24 I use my meat injector to self fill all the time. I fill it when I need to and unfill it when I wanna party. Whaooo I fill it with whatever I have on hand. In Nov. Then I let my hubby inject me cause I just can't do it myself. I do admit the needle is way big. One time I actually had to give myself one stitch to close the hole on my tummy. I used some dental floss. The tip of needle the doctor uses for fills is bent. I did have to take the meat injector needle and bend it before I used it. I took it outside and pushed it down on the cement till it bent. This self fill method is really working for me. For Christmas I filled it with rum sauce from my bread pudding. I tryed the meat injector needle as you recomended , However the needle was too long and poked all the through me and into my moms new leather couch, I strongly recomend against self fills, You to could ruin your moms couch. -

How to get out of the "eat what I want" Mentality
ninner replied to loridee11's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I've considered 2 day liquid diets each week to jump start my weight loss but DW dosent think it would be a healthy approach. I may do it for a few weeks just to see what happens I'm sure it won't kill me. -
Do you eat popcorn?
ninner replied to bandster_1007's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
My doctor says no to popcorn and carbonated drinks and yes to almost everything else, so???? -
I've found that I will go a week or so then it all cones off at once. this has happened twice so far since the banding. It's not the same weight loss patern I saw before the band so I'm not sure whats going on. For me any calorie intake below 1500 stops all weight loss.

It's funny that you said it never rang to you until now. It never rang true to me before being banded but now it does, weird:blush:. -
How to get out of the "eat what I want" Mentality
ninner replied to loridee11's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
For me I track every calorie of extra crap food I eat, then I work out that much extra. It eventually becomes a decision weather or not are those cookies worth an extra hour on the treadmill. The answer more times than not is NO. I've had a paradime shift from rewarding myself with crap food to punishing myself for eating crap food, this new way of thinking will change my life if I can keep it up. I use my natural disposition to lazyness to keep my eating in check, it's a win win situation. -
Wednesday B Muscle Milk L Healthy Choice Orange chicken S peanuts "Bad Choice" D Baked Chicken Pork n Beans green beans S 10 crackers and salsa So far I'm finding that on days I eat the TV dinners I do not register a weight loss, it may not be anything just a note. In general I find myself without a weight change for 4 or 5 days then I drop 5 or 6 pounds all at once. I'm keeping close track "tracking calorie intake w/ food choices and trending against daily morning weight numbers" and trying to get a handle on what's happening but it's too early to tell for sure. Quitting w/ E-cig for Lap Band
ninner replied to H0pful's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I quit using welbutrin 5 years ago and have no urge to smoke, unless I'm drunk. I only drink that much a few times a year and have never had any more urges the next day. I had previously quit cold turkey for 6 months and wanted one constantly but now I cant stand the smell. -
Where could you tell first when you lost some weight?
ninner replied to razberry*kisses's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Butt, Face then neck so far. 43 lbs so far and only a 1.5 inch change in chest and belly. 10 inch change in butt in first month and I didnot have much of one to start with. Here at work they refer to it as Noassatall diesease. -
Today so far. B Three baked tater tots topped w/ 1/2 cup refried beans, venison, hot sauce and a little low fat cheese. S 2 homemade venison and pork loin jerky sticks "there about 2 oz of pure protien each" L Chicken Parmesan TV dinner 280 calories D We will go out and I will have blackened red snapper served over steamed viggies and possibly 1 Vietnamese spring roll if I can't resist.

On M/W/F I'm following couch to 5k, currently in week two. Plus lifting Arms, that’s all I'm cleared for until week 6. I can't wait until I can start lifting again, getting tired of the why are you playing with that 10 lb dumbbell looks at the gym. On off days I do 1 hour cardio split between treadmill, Precor cross trainer and the elliptical. My trainer told me "not sure what calcs he used" that to lose 1 lb a week I would have to eat 3500 calories a day. I'm currently running 2000 - 2500 a day calorie deficit "again according to voodoo calculations I have not seen" I'll keep it up until the weight stops dropping off or recovery times get longer.

Monday I had. B EAS Myoplex L 6 chicken wings 4 fries D 3 tostadas w/ baked corn tortias, fat free refried Beans and venison, and a little coby jack cheese:cursing:

Did anyone get a tattoo after getting banded that symbolizes ur success?
ninner replied to glamischick's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Not into tatoo's, but I am considering a Prince Albert. -
Because at my current workout regiment the trainer says I should eat 3500 calories a day to lose 1 lb a week. I'm stuffed at 1500. I will enjoy while it lasts. I started couch to 5k last week and its awesome. I guess one good thing about being fat and lazy in high school, I did'nt wreck my knees playing football like most of my friends.

I went through 20 years of starving to lose 40 lbs only to gain back 60, god knows how many times. I'm not one who craves large amounts of junk food and it's now impossible for me to sit down and eat a side of ribs or 2 dozen tamales. By the way I had a major "for me anyway" NSV, well it did involve a scale so anyway? We had our annual YMCA meltdown weigh in today I GOT TO WEIGH IN ON THE REGULAR SCALE WITH EVERYONE ELSE!!! Now I'm psyched. For the last 5 years I've had to use the packing scale in the warehouse with the other fat people. Down side is I'm entering a weight loss competition having just lost 43 lbs in 5 weeks but what the heck it's better than the alternative.

I'm not a big fan of ground turkey so I took the last deer this season and ground it 50/50 with pork loin, It turned out awesome. I made about 20 lbs of Jerky sticks and the rest chili meat and hamburger, you would swear it's beef only alot better for you. +1 on venison:lol:

I'm in. Most people say not to set unrealistic goals but I find that they push me harder. Plus I've been working out hard and eating right so I expect to loose big this next week, thats how its worked so far anyway; current 341 goal 299 42 lbs:cursing:

Who will this change who i am
ninner replied to rumpelstilskin's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I like your comment about killing the fat man. I've been heavy to one extent or another since I was eight years old. As I loose weight I'm feeling more confident, more assertive and my energy level is through the roof. I'm starting to feel like a different person. Don't get me wrong I'm not going commie or anything, I've always believed in survival of the fittest just now that I'm becoming fit I think I may survive. -

To tell or not to tell?!?
ninner replied to IWannaBeSkinny's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It was funny, nobody believed him it was just a big joke and he was an old eating buddy that did'nt take me getting banded to well. Don't worry I'm planning to get him back.
