  1. Happy 61st Birthday haroldrussi!

  2. Happy 60th Birthday haroldrussi!

  3. I had the same but in reading the details on the TRIWEST site I found my answers. Tricare will call you in a few days as well if you have not figured out what mods they recommended you can have them to clairify it. Good luck
  4. As soon as your pain from the surgery will allow it. I waited a week but being a male the time might be different for you.
  5. I was walking the day of the surgery and when I got home and on the third day I was up to a mile a day. Walking is your friend. I was walking my two 80lb dogs at two weeks the mile. This past weekend I was out at a SCCA event working corners so I walked 2+ miles each day.

    Fun stuff

Nothing for the guys, go figure.....
  7. Try using baby oil and that will soften the glue allowing the tape to come off. This worked great for me but don't rush it. I took mine off at the two week point. I let it soak for 10-15 minutes and the glue turned very soft. Good Luck.

    I gotta ask about sex?

I tried at the two week point and was sore for two days. After the third week all was well and with the weight loss things were much better.

    Ouch, ouch...

I used the ice pack for 4-5 days then changed to a heating pad for 2 weeks. It is a lot better now but still a little pain if I lean on the port (of course). It does get better.
  10. I still get it if I eat to fast but it is gone with a burp and all is good...
  11. Walk, Walk, Walk and try extra strenght Gas-X
  12. Mine is a 1948 Chevy P/U with a 350/350, Mustang II front sus. and four link 10 bolt rear end. I have only drove it around the block once, waiting for vintage license plates to put it on the road.

  13. Hi Harold, I saw one of your comments on a page about port pain. You had a small picture of a black truck but I couldn't tell much about it. I've got a 1956 Ford 100 that's yellow & cool! Best of luck with your success.

    March 4th... and an intro!

I will be doing all my aftercare in town (Omaha) with Dr. White. He also did my wife's bypass surgery on 6 April. We are both doing great. My port site is still a bulge that Dr. White looked at closely and said if it continues to be that way he can move the port to another location. First fill went great as well and I have noticed the restriction but not as much as I would have thought but know that it is only the first fill and it might take a few to get to the sweet spot. I should be able to soo how it works while flying next week. Hope I don't have any problems.
  15. Well I had my surgery on a Wed and went back to work on the following Monday. I was walking a mile everyday by then so my pain was not all that bad by then. The tape on my insisions did not come off after two weeks (my Dr. said they could come off after 10 days so I waited an extra 4 days) and at that I used baby oil to soften the glue to get them off. I still have some pain where the port is but that is mostly because of the port being attached to the muscle wall and it needs to adjust to the attachment.
