  1. Exercise is Key. You have to get some in. Go for a walk, change your printer to a different location in the building. When eating, think protein first. If you don't get 50g of Protein a day, that can slow your losses. Drinking plenty of Water - not just sugar free drinks, but Water. - This is how you flush the fat out of your body. You have to move to lose weight, even if its only for a few minutes at a time. I have to be to work by 7:30, I get up 15 minutes earlier than I used to and take the dog for a walk. Then at night, I pace the kitchen while making dinner, I step up and down my bottom stairs while on the phone, or waiting for laundry to ding. Weekends, my husband knows he's in charge in of Breakfast while I go for my walks or to the gym. You have to be creative, but if it's important to you, you will make it work.

    inquiring minds want to know.......

My port is on my right side a couple inches below my bra line. The first couple weeks after surgery, it was tender during any physical activity. During Sex, I just made sure my husband didn't put any weight or pressure there.
  3. That is more for gastric patients, since their pouches start to expand after 12-18 months. Lap-banders should have continued restriction. That's why you normally see lap-band patients lose slower and longer than other WLS patients. It's hard to remember how long it took to put the weight on, it's going to take awhile to get the weight off too. Slow and Steady wins the race.

    Lapband And Pcos

I was diagnsed with pcos about 8 years ago. I was banded on 10/27 I have lost 27 pounds since surgery. I just had my first fill yesterday, I am hoping for restriction and quicker weight loss. But as long as I stay with 2 pounds a week, I will meet my goals in the first 14 months of surgery.

PCOS with Clomid rule, I am shocked!

My husband I tried for about a year to concieve, with about 6 months of clomid. It didn't work, but what I learned from my ob/gyn was if I were to lose about 50 pounds my chances of getting pregnant would increase dramatically. If I were to get down to a healthy weight, she thought my chances were very good to do it naturally without any precription help.
  8. Hi! My name is Karry. I was banded on Oct. 27 / 08. It has been the best decision, and experience so far. I had WLS - Lap/Realize band surgery because I have been overweight and struggling with my weight my whole life. I finally feel like I am in control of what and how much goes in my mouth.
