Hi Melissa! How are you? I was actually banded on March 25th. I had my first fill last week (which really helped) and so far I'm down 24lbs. I was stuck for a few weeks before the fill, but I'm doing much better now and just keep reminding myself slow and steady wins the race. I'm really glad I listened to you and jumped on the wagon, because come June they are switching our insurance...blah BTW- You look awesome!! I use to look forward to reading your page on blogspot but noticed the other day you deleted it, so I'm def. glad to hear from you. I want you to know that although we only chatted that one time, it was the extra push I needed to take the initiative to change my life. Thank you! I wish you all the best and know your going to reach your goal! You are a true inspiration! Good Luck and please keep in touch...

Hi Everyone! I'm new to the site and looking forward to getting the lap band around Feb/ Mar 2009. I want to start preping my liver, and wanted to know if anyone can recommend a good product to help clean the liver and get it ready for the operation. Any suggestions on protein shakes and where to buy them would also be appreciated... Thanks, Mich-

It will be worth it. I would do it over 10 times if I had to. I had to do a 6 month diet plan before surgery for my insurance to cover it. I was banded on 9/24/08 and I am down 82 lbs! I love it. I haven't had any complications or problems. I wish you the best of luck on your journey and keep me posted on how everything goes!

Hi Everyone!
I'm new to the site, and still getting a hang of it... I'm from Northern New Jersey (right across the Hudson) looking forward to getting the lapband. I've researched it, and found out that my insurance covers it as long as my doctor is in the plan. December 4th is my 1st information seminar and I'm super excited!!! I know it can take from 3 to 6 months, but I'm confident the journey will be worth it! I look forward to making friends on this site and learning about each of your journeys.. Till then...:thumbup:
