BCBS How to find your requirements

Bcbs of NC may have dropped their 6 month diet & exercise but bc I was denied in May I still had to finish it (grandfather rule I guess). Now I just got another letter of denial bc I didn't follow the bariatric requirements (I was banded in 2008) but they won't explained to me what they are. They are doing their best not to pay for these surgeries in hopes you will give up the fight. DONT GIVE UP! Good luck

    Eye problems?!

Water? Are you drinking enough? Our eyes need lots of it but I can't think of what else might be causing it. Sorry.

Thanks guys. Sorry I've been away with in-laws for two weeks. My 6th appt is July 3rd but the receptionist hinted to me that BCBSNC is changing their 6mth rule as of July 2014. Don't hold it against me but I thought it was worth checking into.

    help me shrink my pouch?

I think after every fill I am expanding my pouch. I don't have much restriction and I blame myself for making wrong decisions. Does anyone know what I can do to shrink my pouch? I currently have 11cc in a 10cc Realize band.
  12. I'm on the same boat w/you. My doctor or his stuck-up nurses never told me why and what happens when I eat. I have been eating just fine. Burgers, fries, sandwiches, etc.... Not until now did I know and I pray its not too late. My body felt fine when I ate. I was told it was normal be hungry. I will go back to mushy foods because now I am so scared but good luck to you. I'll ask my docter on Monday and try to get back w/you.

What the Bleep is going on?

I was banded on 12/4 and starting eating mushy food 10 days after. Then moved into solids fairly quick. The doctor never told me what happens when you move too fast. I might have stretched my pouch or even worse. After reading comments all night, I am now scared. I've been eating burgers and fries. Be careful. Stick to your diet.

    Help! I'm sooo hungry!

I was banded 12/4 and came out of surgery hungry. I told my doctor and he said it was normal. He too told me to just stick to the diet like described but never told me about the stretching and tearing. WOW! I'm in trouble. I can eat a lot. I have eaten hamburgers and fries. My family looks at me in shock. What am going to do? I'm hungry:confused:. Lack of communication just got me into trouble I think.
