I havent been coming here as much just because no one else has been posting much. I really do miss talking to you all, also. I have been using twitter for my online support for a few months but there are a lot more rny people over there than bandsters. you are welcome to join me if you want. i would love more bandster support. you can choose who you follow and read and who can read what you post. i have enjoyed it and made some online friends. if you dont like what someone is posting you can just unfollow. missing you slim, carrie, and corliss.

why not? is there someone else?
-
doing ok slim? i noticed you hadnt posted in the other thread for a few days. hope everything is good. i am going to start posting again over there when i actually have some restriction. right now it is a frickin' free for all because i can eat as much of anything as i want. it sucks.:smile2: hope everyone else is doing well too.:smile2:

are we all in a stall? interesting. corliss - my goal was to be down 100 lbs by my 1 year anniversary. that is nov and i am 20- 30 lbs away. not sure i will make it but hoping that this next fill will be effective. it will be my "3rd" so i am hopeful. carrie - sorry you feel bad. get well soon.
-
2.5 weeks until my next fill. I am longing for some restriction and weight loss!!! :blushing:
-
i have been going up and down 5 pounds since my slip and i havent changed my ticker either. i am not willing to give those pounds back. i dont think jennifer is giving fills yet but i dont know.
-
That is great. Those tests are tricky. no restriction with 2nd fill maybe next one...
-
good luck tomorrow.

i had a fill yesterday. super long wait: 2 hours. hoping i feel some restriction in the next few days. i am still at around the same weight i was in june. at least i havent gained much (maybe a couple of pounds) in that time. it is frustrating. i asked if they thought i would start losing again soon and they said they were trying to protect my band which i obviously want but weight loss would be nice too. not sure i am going to hit my 100 lbs in a year goal but hopefully it will pick up again soon. to make it worse there were all kinds of people at the office talking about how much weight they had lost and i felt like i had a big FAIL stamped on my head. :frown: oh well. they do say that they dont feel like this slip will effect my long term success so that is good.

there are also NICUs or special care nurseries at East Ridge, Hutcheson, and Erlanger East. I had about 1 1/2 years experience at Erlanger's NICU. Are you going for FNP? I want to get my master's but not exactly sure what yet: maybe Neonatal CNS.
-
i am trying to get back into nursing because i have taken some time off. i am a neonatal nurse.
-
Glad you are doing well, Carrie. I was starting to get worried about all of you. I seemed to be the only one posting for a few days. I also went to nursing school (BSN). I hope you have a good experience. My weight loss has stalled also but I am hoping that it will pick back up after my next fill on thursday.

how long did it take you to start seeing dramatic weight loss
punkster posted a topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
how long did it take you to start seeing dramatic weight loss especially if you had a lot to use? I am 2 and half months out from my banding and am at 36 pounds lost. If you lost 200 pounds or so in a year, when did you lose the most weight? Thanks -
i am glad something is helping. you seem to be losing weight; how are other things going.
-
thanks. are your teeth feeling better? i hope so.

increased my rowing time from 10 minutes to 15 today. W00T!
-
rowed again today. found music is better for my concentration than tv. made a playlist and everything. i can relate to the pool envy . i can see my neighbors pool from my bedroom window. i dont know them either. I often think they dont use that thing enough. i bet it was expensive too. i hope you all have a good weekend too.
-
on a previous weight loss plan (liquid diet) i used to go to the gym that was included in part of my plan and the rowing machine was what i always gravitated toward. The treadmill was too high impact for my feet and biking hurt my butt and legs in a bad way. hoping to stick to the plan. :smile2: slim - you'll find something you like. i want to try like water aerobics but i dont have time or money for that yet. one day...
-
my shoulder hurts from rowing but i went back and did it again after a day of rest. i have been more dedicated to exercising. i think i am tired of this stall. ready for my fill.
-
i have started rowing some. i just read that the fee is $25 which includes a t-shirt. here is a brochure link about it: http://www.walkfromobesity.com/2009WalkBrochure.pdf
