I'm a college student in Flint, MI. I go full time and work part time at a McDonalds EEK! Luckily I am so sick of the food there it's not tempting, it's more like repulsive. I am also in a sorority and devote all my free time not spent with my boyfriend doing sorority things. So, I have become best friends with pintos and cheese from Taco Bell. It's only 1/2 cup food and tons of protein.. and only cost me 94 cents!

I had my first fill yesterday. They did 3cc and I don't notice a difference yet but they put me on a 2 day liquid diet. Uck! I thought I was done with those. Tomorrow is mushies and then finally I can be completely done with restrictions (I haven't had red meat which is my fave in 2 months). It's going to be a real challenge watching what I eat without restrictions but I am really hoping this fill helps because I haven't felt "full" since my surgery, I just don't go over 3/4 cup food.

I have become a huge fan of Taco Bells pintos and cheese. It's 1/2 cup of food and it's only 94 cents for me. It'a just refriend pinto beans with some sauce and cheese. It's yummy and a great source of protein!

I was banded on November 3rd. I am not in the soft/pureed food stage. I eat pretty much anything besides red meats and Pasta. My dietician told me I need to eat meals between 1/2 cup and 3/4 cup three times a day. However, I never get full! I am not hungry afterwards but I never get my full. She told me it's normal the first six weeks. But, what do I do about cravings? I am constantly craving things (especially while I am PMSing!!) and I want to eat them and sometimes I do  and I know I shouldn't. Any tips?

I had my surgery on November 3rd. For 10 days PRE op I was on a liquid diet of only Jello, yogurt, cottage cheese and Protein shakes. For ten days POST op I was on the diet also but without yogurt or Protein Shakes. Then ten days after they let me move to soft foods. You will be alright, the reason you have to do it is because your muscles in your stomach contract when moving food so if you eat food that your stomach needs to move through ie, not soft foods or liquids, your band could slip. It's giving your stomach time to heal around the band without causing any chance of slippage.
