    Feeling Hopeful

Hi Everyone, I had my surg 1/20..I'm down 20lbs. On soft/mushie diet and feeling very good about myself for the first time in a long time. I haven't started exercising and know I need to start. I have a treadmill but have avoided it so far. Any words of encouragement are appreciated.

Three days post op and full of gas

I agree the gas does get better. I found after my first BM the gas got a lot better. I'd like to share this.. I had my first week post op visit Thurs and was down 15lbs.. now Sun and down another 5lbs.. Plus my Dr said I can start calculating protein and drop a shake if I'm within my protein requirement.. I'm on soft/mushie foods now and so happy to be eating something solid. I feel hope where I felt hopeless before. Hope this reaches you feeling less gassy and full of hope cause better things are coming!

    What to expect?

Hi, I'm pretty new to this site and like you I am worried about eating post op, but in a different way. I have my surgery scheduled for 1/20.. pending insurance approval. My concern is.. am still going to go on my impulsive, self defeating binges post op? When I read clayverde's reply I felt truly hopeful, that yes this is the solution I've been longing for... to be able to forget about food and not think about my next meal constantly.. to make my life not about eating but about living. I hope I am able to achieve your success... but for now you are an inspiration.. Thanks and good luck on your journey:thumbup:
  8. Hi Everyone, I'm new to this site..I've been to the seminar and have decided to go thru with the surgery. (hopefully I'll get approved). I have my nutrition eval today and pysch eval Saturday. Tonight I'm going back to my former Weight Watchers meeting to get my 6 month "notes" or dates of attendance. Kind of uneasy about showing up there.. but it's gotta be done. Any advice about this or words of support are appreciated..
