    Who were you banded by?

Yes, that is his name. Very nice Dr. and yes I was one of the first 12 to be banded out of the 25 that are being done. I am not sure if they have selected all 25 though. The dietician I saw was Jan. Good luck to your friend. I have inlaws in Sask. Where are you from?

    Port Pain?

Hi all, I am just over 2 weeks post banded and I am feeling just great. I do have a question about port pain. For the last 2 days it seems that I can't bend to far forward without having some pain in the middle tummy area above my belly button. Also when I am sitting at my desk or driving I find I have to sit up strait or there is some pain. Its not constant but comes and goes. Does this sound familiar to anyone?I am hoping it is just the port healing on the inside. I have my first post-op appt on June 2. TIA for any answers/help:) :grouphug: Angie

Hi all, I cannot believe it has been a week since my surgery. I am feeling great and ready for mushies. I still have bruising from the incisions but other than that, no problems. I plan to start by walking program this week and I know that will only help my weight loss. Cheers everyone!

Hi everyone, I had my surgery on Friday. For the most part it went very well. I spent about 6 hours in recovery, my breathing was very shallow. I spent the night and got home Saturday evening. It was good to sleep in my own bed. Feeling a little sore by the incisions ( i have 5). I am sippin soup, drinking water and juice. I will not get on the scale for 1 week. I am taking things slow for now. Hang in there everyone. I am so thankful for this site with all the great info and support.:clap2:

    May 2006 Band Crew

Hi everyone, I was at my information meeting last night. Wow! They showed a DVD on the procedure. I don't get freaked out seeing that stuff so I thought it was interesting. I start my Optifast this Saturday for 2 weeks. For those who are on it, how difficult did you find it to just drink your meals for 2 weeks? Is it going to matter much if I have a small meal once in a while? I am glad I found this site before last night. most of the stuff that was discussed, I already had read here. Thanks to all who post tips. I too am looking at losing 100+ pounds. Can someone tell me how I keep track of my weigihtloss on my tickertape?
