Hi. I've also had lap band surgery in December of 2008. I had problems from the start. I lost weight very slowly with many many adjustments. I finally lost 75 pounds but now I've gained it all back plus some. I want to get the sleeve. Any suggestions for when I go to my consultation? I'm in NYC.

I was banded 12/29 and had very minor pain from the incisions compared to the pain in my neck, shoulders and back. At first they told me it was gas, but i know its not. I could feel the gas moving in me in the recovery room and then it just passed. Now its 1 full week later and i'm in a lot of pain. I think it was the way i was positioned on the table.

I like the isopure natures best. They come in a lot of flavors and its 20oz with 40g protein. I tried a lot of others but i found this brand to be the best.

I am right with you. I was banded on 12/29 and feel hungry all the time also. This is my 2nd week of full liquids. I'm not sure if i can take it another week until mushies!

I am off to the hospital at 12:00 with a surgery time for 2:30pm today and i still have doubts. I know i am doing the right thing but i am scared.

I know what you mean. I posted a few times and no one answered me. Anyway, i'm getting banded today and i am very nervous. If i can help you with any questions, please ask. I will be home from hospital in a couple of days.

Thank you all for your good wishes. My surgery is late tomorrow, its scheduled for 2:30pm. I wish it was earlier. It gives me more time to be nervous. I am so scared. I will write when i get home in a day or two. Good luck to all of us Monday 12/29 banders!!!!! :tongue_smilie:

I have to be at the hospital at 12:30pm with a 2:30pm surgery time. The dr said i may be in hospital for about 3 days due to a large hiatal hernia repair. I'm trying not to be so nervous which is hard to do as you well know. Lets think of the happiness and good health the band will bring to us and i think we will be just fine. :thumbup:

I am being banded on mon 12/29. I was told by my dr on tuesday that i have a large hiatal hernia and that part of my colon is there and since its so large i have a 50/50 chance of getting the band. Anyone else have this problem? :thumbup:

Help, I'm starving and i'm only on pre op liquids day 3!!!!!:wink2: Tomorrow i go to work and have to sit with 3 girls that munch on everything and eat at mcdonald's twice a day and the smell of food is always in the office from someone heating up something they brought from dinner the night before! Any advice? :thumbup:

I have told only my husband and two close friends. I will tell no one else because i feel they really don't understand my battle. They will think i am taking the easy way out, eventhough they have seen all the years i have struggled with my weight. I will not tell anyone at work because then the whole building will know! As far as my boss knowing, he thinks i'm just taking off some time during the holidays. My banding date is 12/29. Good luck to everyone!

My surgery is scheduled for 12/29. I started the process in July. I am nervous, but very excited! I wish it was yesterday. I have a very large hiatal hernia that is going to be fixed that day. Anyone else have this problem? Any advice? :laugh:
