Yes my port also has moved to now facing south. Ever since my last fill. But I have not done any thing to it because it maybe my last fill. My daughters port has also flipped and now waiting to see what the doctor will do for it.

Has anyone had there port replaced with the smaller one? If so, where didi you have it done?

Thank you for the info Karen, I was just banded yesterday in Mexico and doing great:) My kaiser doctor has already told me she will do all my blood work and monitor me, as for the fills I have life time fills in mexico so I guess I will fly in and out in one day. No big deal, I find it sad that we pay our dues w/ Kaiser but have to elsewhere for our medical treatments. But thats Kaiser for you. Have you been banded yet? Where? When and if so how are you doing? Mary

Hi Christine, my name is Mary, I live in fremont also, Kaiser would not do mine but I am hoping they will maintain my fills. I am going to pay out of pocket and go to Mexico. I am getting banded on th 12/11. I would relly like to have a suport group her? If you would like to meet?

I know thats the problem, Surgeons won't touch you unless your over 40BMI, but if you do the lap band or something else? They want your goal weight to be under 20BMI, Well so do I, I am doing this like many of you, because I have tried everything else with very little results. does anyone here suffer from heartburn. and if so what are you doing w/it. I take prilosec but I will not be able to do that after 12/11?

Do you have a date yet? How much do they want you to loose before the band?

I talked w/my Dr and she would not refer me, so I decided to do it myself. I made an appt. w/her again for 12/2 and if she does not give me one I will change Dr. But I really want to talk w/Bariatric to see if I do it on my own if I am able to do the fills thru them or what? I should have done this when I had Blue cross. But lost them last yr due to work coverage. I left Kaiser 9 yrs ago and really hate having the m again but it is what it is. Fremont Kaiser is hard to get what you want. But I guess I will find out Tuesday.

SuzeQ how long did it take you to get approval w/kaiser? Did you regular Dr. give you the referral?

How hard was it to get kaiser to agree with the lap band? I too have kaiser and I am paying for it myself

Hello Dec. bandsters, I am sceduled for 12/11 and so looking forward to it. I sort of started my pre-op yesterday but today is my 1st day. doing good thus far but it is only 11am lol:thumbup: I have read many pre-ops diet, some just liquids and some mixed w/high protin. What are you guys doing:blush:
