I have pcos, have had it for about 15 years, for almost all that time I never had a period, now I'm 37 and I had the lap band last November 25th, 2008 and in April I had my 1st period in all those years, then skipped a month and been on the dot regular ever since, I have a lot of pain though but figure that is to be expected. I hope good luck for all of you. Oh and I have the dark neck, underarms, thighs, and the hair growth too yuck, thank God for veet hair remover, so I know all the pains of this disease.

I have polycystic ovarian disorder and haven't cycled in over 12 years, had the lap band on November 25, 2008 and have lost quite a little bit of weight now. Today after all this time I started my cycle, I'm a little freaked out, has anyone else here went through this, my doctor said with the hormones straightening out after the weight loss and all that it could happen, just didn't expect it yet.

I have really started to notice I am losing hair, I drink protein shakes every day, take a vitamin, and calcium, now am taking the vitamin called Hair skin and nails, just started that day before yesterday, anyone have that problem too? Is there something I can do, I had the lap band November 25th and am down to 270 already. Help if you can please.

This is very hard for me, I have waist length hair, have always had long hair and now it's just coming out, it may not seem like that should be so worrisome but oh my is it. I hope we all get through these obstacles without too much difficulty. I am just stressed. Thanks for answering.

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't been chatting, been really busy, lots of company. Anyways, things are going good, I am down to 281 lbs now, I tried to change my little thing on my signature but it wouldn't change, if anyone can help me with that, I would appreciate it, anyway, got my first fill yesterday, so far I am ok, was terrified. Am down in size already, was able to take the extender out of my bra, haha and went down a size in my jeans, it's awesome, am still afraid to try toast yet, but I am a worry wart. How are you all doing? November 25er's? Hope everyone is feeling good, and that the weight is starting to come off for you. Keep your spirits up and your hands busy. Toodles for now.:confused:

Hi, I had the band put on the 25th, and I have to say that today is the 1st day I have felt decent since, I know it is going to be worth it, but I swear for a few days there I thought a bullet would have done me more good, have other people here felt that way? I admit, I am starting to crave food and meat, but I have a lot of support from my husband and I hope it will be ok, I am drinking the proper amount of water and protein but am still light headed today, any thoughts? Well thanks for providing this place, it has been a blessing.

I only used two pain pills after I got home, they made me feel really sick to my tummy, the not getting enough calorie intake might be it, as I am lucky to get 300 calories without the protein shakes, so I will see about eatting a little more soup, I can't wait till puree day lol. My husband said he will smoke some chicken then puree it for me with some other little goodies. So that the flavor is more fulfilling and stays with me. He's a good guy:thumbup:.
