Support groups in Memphis,TN ... does anyone know of an;y support groups for the weight loss surgery here in Memphis... That is other than the one @ Baptist for Dr. Woodman.... I would like to sit and chat with others going through the process and also those who have had the surgery... so if any one knows of one please let me know.... -

Hello Hrdlywrkin. I have just started on my approval process... Dr. Virginia McGrath-Weaver will be my surgeon ... I have seen my Psycologist and have been approved...I will be going to my second weigh-in appointment Monday so I will have 4 more to go... I know 3 people who have used Dr. Weaver and love her... but none of them have had the band... If there is any thing I can do to help let me know... -
Hello I am just starting the program I will be going to Dr. Weaver ... I have not heard of this Doctor I was under the impression nere in Memphis we had on Doctor's Woodman and Weaver to choose from... I would like to learn more about your Doctor what can you tell me about him?

Hello, I have just found this site... I have read a few it the treads and this seems like a friendly informative group... This is what I have been looking for... I am from Memphis, TN... I am in the early states of the process... it will be spring of '09 before I can have my surgery but I am trying to find out all I can about the surgery... I am going Monday to see a psychologist.. to see if she will give the approval for me to go on with the next process .... I will not see the surgeon until right before the surgery .... this in itself makes me a little nervous.. :smile2: looking forward to becoming a member of the lap band community....:thumbup:What Is a Tag????
