    Any December '08 Bandsters?

Hi Everybody, I wanted to wish all of you who were banded or being banded this week the best of luck!!! I know you will all do extremely well. I'm in week 2 of post op and it really hasn't been bad at all. If I can offer you any advice it would be to make sure you have some Gas X strips. Get them before or right after the procedure but make sure you have them. They really do help a lot. I'm praying that everyone does well and with minimal discomfort!!!

One more thing..... My surgical nurse also had the procedure and she LOVED IT. She told me it was the best thing she'd done for herself.

    Any December '08 Bandsters?

Hi Everyone!!! I was banded on 12/4/08 and I have to say the team at True Results were awesome!!! I'm in Houston and it went really well. Thank God and for your prayers. After the procedure was done I was sleepy all day. They don't recommend sleeping more than an hour and that's because they don't want the gas to build up. There is a slight discomfort but each day it gets less. My first night after the procedure was a little difficult only because I really couldn't sleep well. I was up every hour walking around but after that each night I've been able to sleep more. I've really not had much of an appetite at all. I've been drinking one Slim Fast Low Carb, hot tea and broth initially. I've added lime aid and coffee today. Broth is not very tasty but my mom was sweet enough to make some homemade broth and that was a lot better. I've also bought cans of soup and I'm just going to drink the liquid. The only thing I haven't been good at is drinking the water for some reason. I'm really going to work on that more. Before the procedure I was drinking close to a gallon. All in all everything is going well. I think I only had a little naseau for maybe a couple of minutes on day 2, nothing since then. I'm glad I took a week off from work though. I think it's been good for me. I'm bored but that's OK. I'm excited for all the upcoming banders. I know you will do well. Just remember to have your supplies ahead of time and to get up and walk around your house if you feel the gas pains coming. Walking really does work. Looking forward to getting smaller with all of you!

    Any December '08 Bandsters?

Hi everyone! I'm having my procedure tomorrow. I thought I would be nervous tonight but I'm not. I'm scheduled to be there at 9:00 a.m. I know that everything will go well but if you could remember me in your prayers I would be so grateful. I promise to come back tomorrow and tell you all about my experience. I've learned so much from all of you since I started reading your post.

I've been lurking also. I'm going to be banded on the 5th and each day leading up to it I have my moments where I'm excited and then the nervous moments creep in. I know I'm doing the right thing, I'm just trying to get my emotions under control. Best of luck to all the December Banders. I look forward to taking this great journey with all of you.
