October 2009 Surgery Date?

I'm waiting for my phone to ring with my surgery date! I finished the 6-mo supervised diet and insurance approval. Now just waiting to start next phase -- pre-op testing? and an actual date. Looking forward to the changes but still scary about being able to resist temptations! Those who have been before me -- do you still dream about rib-eye steak, chocolate desserts, and Diet Cokes? What's the best advice you can give a newbie? Would love to hear from you.:bored: -

I am waiting for a phone call to schedule my surgery, hopefully in mid-October. I have been reading as much online about results/lifestyle changes of bandsters. Food choices seem to be limited for the rest of your life -- does anyone ever get disgusted that you can't have that rib-eye or choclate dessert anymore? I love Diet Coke but looks like that is a no-no. I'm having trouble thinking if I can resist but maybe if you are not hungry constantly, it helps? Looking for real answers from those who went before me. Also need to schedule time off from work -- is 7-10 days appropriate?
