Help! I'm getting nervous. I want to know if anyone out there has been banded at Scottsdale Bariatric Center in AZ. I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing in getting this done. My surgery is in 2 weeks. If you have or know anyone who has been banded there, please let me you and/or they did? How was the Care? Thanks in advance! CSB

Good Morning, I'm Cheryl and I live in Albuquerque! I am looking for a support group here. Do you all get together periodically? I would love to meet up with a few of you as I will be banded in 2 weeks Dec 18th! Any one interested in meeting after the holiday? or letting me know if you have a scheduled meeting time and place I would love to come. I know I will need support to help me throught the first few months at least. Also is there anyone out there who has been banded by Scottsdale Bariatric Center Dr Blackstone? How awful for you! I have been through a staph infection incident and it wasn't fun. I'll be banded in Dec in AZ, and wanted to make sure I didn't have your doctor. What was his or the clinics name, please. And thanks for bloging your experience, it is great info!

Congrats on the band date! I'm in albuquerque, but I will be going to Pheonix for surgery on Dec 18th. I'm nervous and excited all at once

I have blue cross and was able to get in with Scottsdale bariatric center in AZ. I have heard others are going to Texas. There really are now really good clinics here, or maybe it the restrictions are getting in the way here. Dr Robin Blackstone is very experienced. There website is scottsdalebariatric.com. I did all my stuff from here, with the exception of the prelimary visit (they scheduled a 5 hour visit with all the docs on one day) and will go out for a week for pre-op, pre op class surgery and post op class in December Good Luck with finding someone, and keep in touch!

I just found this site, and not a moment to soon. I am scheduled for surgery Dec 18th and have done alot of the prep. I'm looking forward to my new adventure. I have a beautiful 5'10" tall teenage daughter that weighs as much as I have to loose. It is amazing to realize that with this surgery I have the possibility of doing just that! I plan on posting blogs throughout my journey with it the good and the not so good as I work toward my goal. Thanks for being there!

Looks Like I am joining The December Lap Band Birthday group! My date is Dec 18th! I too am excited and anxious about it. This is a great website. I especially like the BMI scale, and having just joined today I don't now how to do mine, and helpful hints. Congrats and Happy New Adventure! to all you December Lap Bands out there. :thumbup:
