    Broken Band=Broken Heart(Lost Hope)

Good morning everyone, happy Friday! Wow , luv you guys!! I thank you so much for your input and support, great feed back and information. I am going to digging today and look into my other optons. This gives me a new hope, was unable to see the other side b/c of the dissapointment(s). Awesome support group, I hope you all have a Beautiful Friday & weekend, I will reply back with an update as soon as I receive. Thanks again everyone and take care. Chellie
  2. Hey folks, I have decided to reach out for some help and give this one last shot. In a nutshell, I was banded In Nov. 2008 and was Rockin all they way thru 2011. In 2012 I started to notice weight gain. I thought it was just me b/c I had not been going to the gym, since my shoulder injury. Finally decided last year, 2014,, I decided to go for a fill at the suggestion of my manager who had been banded as well. He actually had me to go to his Dr. Well long of the short, my first time going for a fill and they could not complete it. While under X-ray, it just wasnt working. Doc said I needed to have Laparoscopic surgery to see exactly what was wrong, he was leaning towards a broken band or corrupt port. Anyway, Since I could not afford the Laparoscopic surgery ($1,800 OOP) - insurance deductible is $6K so I would have to pay. I have been so dis-heartened and depressed since the weight gain and even more so b/c I feel I have wasted 7 years and almost back at square 1....almost -. I have not been able to wrap my mind around starting over and doing it all on my own which is why I needed the band(help) in the first place. I would appreciate anyone with advice and encouragement b/c I have just given up hope. Thanks for listening and everyone please enjoy the remainder of your day.
  3. Hey folks, I have had my band for 6 years now, finally went in for a fill b/c I noticed weight gain and very little restriction. When I finally decided to get a fill, under the x-ray they saw that the port and tube was disconnected. Next step is an Endoscopy to see what needs to determine exactly what is going on and what needs to be done. Ok so here I am at this point. 1) I have to finance as my insurance deductible is extremely high so I have to pay OOP. which will have to wait because of the $$$$'s 2) Second I am so nervous about having surgery again as my options are a port replacement or a new band if needed. I'm really concerned and could use some support, please and thank you. Has anyone had a disconnect?
  4. Thank you,2babutterfly: I appreciate your feed back. Wow, you were not put all the way under, how did they manage that? You are definitely brave...lol Thanks again, I will keep folks posted whenever, I can get the endoscopy done to see what else is needed. Take care
  5. Thanks 2muchfun for responding. We are not 100% certain, the Doc believes it is a disconnect at the port, however, would have to complete an endoscopy to confirm.
  6. Hi Karen, I will touch and agree and believe God for total healing. As you have stated, leave it in God's hands. As we do so many times, we give it to Him and then take it back (smile). I haven't experienced what you are talking about, however, what I did since day one of my surgery was to annoint myself, laid hands on my incisions and continuosly thanked God for complete and total healing. My incisions have healed beautifully. We belive God right now in the name of Jesus, wholness to Karen's body; complete healing; no leaking, no soreness cause the flesh to be whole. We bind up thoughts of fear for your word says you did not give us the spirit of fear, touch Karens mind give her peace and comfort as she totally trust you Lord for her well being. I touch and agree with my sister and ask all in the matchless name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen!

Be Blessed, know that God is in control!!!

    Fatty liver ?

Hey quick question, I am so nervous that I messed up, my surgery is November 22nd. I have been doing liquids since November 14th. I was able to do a Banna/Orange/Apple to relieve headaches. But I had some cheese and a few crackers last night on November 18th so I could take my medicine(prevent a cold). Since I started liquids I have lost 12lbs. Was that a bad move, will my liver blow up again to process what I ate???
