  1. Happy 34th Birthday ladyshy78!

  2. i'm still new to this...how do I see your pics Karen?
  3. Thanks for replying Jack, To answer a few of your questions: What exactly make you think you have "scared that my band isn't tight enough or my pouch is too stretched"? I think it's stretched because I feel like I can much more than I could before and I don't feel as much restriction. If it isn't tight enough, then a little adjustment is what the design allows. I see my dr. next week so I planned on bringing these concerns to her, I just wanted to be educated so that I knew how to approach the topic and properly express my concerns. If your pouch is stretched, there are other symptoms, which you haven't listed. I'm not sure what other symptoms there would be if my pouch were stretched...other than being able to eat more and not feeling the restriction I felt before. I try not to eat mushy food (soup, Cereal, oatmeal, etc) and expect to be full. If what you 'threw up' didn't have bile and acid in it, it did not go into the lower stomach past the band. Period. It didn't have acid but it was extremely difficult to get back up as compared to my experiences in the past...that's what prompted my thinking that maybe my band slipped or something like that. When were you banded, what is your food intake, and what have you lost so far? Have you discussed your concerns with your surgeon? My starting weight was 225lbs, I was banded 7/20/06, by last fall I had lost 60lbs (dropping me to 165lbs) but since then I've slowly gained about 5lbs back (bringing me back up to 170lbs.) My doctor says my weight is fine, since I didn't have 100lbs to lose from the start, but not only do I want to lose more, I definitely don't want to gain. What are your thoughts based on my further explanation?

    I'm new to LapBand Talk.com

Hi Plain, I do exercise...not completely religiously but I usually get on my stationary exercise bike about 3 times per week and the time I'm on the bike ranges from 20 minutes to 45 minutes. Hey Sshop, I'm sorry to hear that the LB hasn't worked for you, yet. I hope that you'll find your catalyst to kick start your weight loss. As you can guess, I struggled for much of my life with weight loss so I know the frustration you're experiencing! Ladyshy
  5. I was perusing before I actually signed up and saw some discussions on PB'ing. I used to have that problem and don't any more (not sure what's changed.) A couple times I felt 'too full' and when I thought I was going to have to return the food I'd eaten it hurt like heck to get the food up; almost as if the food had already passed through the pouch and was trying to come up from my stomach. Could this be a sign of band slippage? I've had my band too tight before (not being able to swallow ANYTHING) and I know that's not the problem here. I'm scared that my band isn't tight enough or my pouch is too stretched. Please...any ideas? Thanks, Ladyshy78 :rolleyes2:
  6. Hi...I'm at an impasse on my weight loss and feel like I've been stuck for over a year. I'm looking for suggestions, support, weight loss ideas, and someone to talk to who understands. I was banded in July 2006. I only had 75 lbs to lose, successfully lost about 60, and seem to be backtracking. :rolleyes2: I'm at 55lbs lost and can't seem to get back on the right track. I have a 4 CC band, which is only filled to 3.2 CC's (I think that was the last amount it was filled to.) I've posted another thread on a different topic so if you happen to see this, please check my other thread. Thanks so much and I look forward to speaking with any/all of you! Have a blessed day!
