Anyone experience long bouts of nausea?

That makes 3, get another doctor, that one couldnt have been more unprofessional if they tried. You are better off with someone else. -
3 weeks out and eating everything in site
Ruthi replied to hungrygirl's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I think she may have had a surgeon that makes large sleeves. In another post a girl said she could eat a whole chicken breast. A medium to large breast could add up to 1 1/2 to 2 cups depending on the size. Again like Mac says, if its thin enough, 2 cups could be really easy for someone with a larger sleeve. -

Which ones were scarey Susan, I thought the one with tatoos looked a bit different and the one that took a dip in the pool must have issues too.

To Revisioners: Updates on Progress Please...
Ruthi replied to Alexa77's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I had a revision 3 months after having the band removed. Best thing I ever did so far. I am 6 weeks out and have lost 23 lbs. I initially lost some weight with the band so now I total 40 lbs total. I am losing slower but it is coming off. I had gained about 14 lbs back due to the 3 month wait from band to sleeve. -
If you go by a Jenny Craig center, I am sure they will sell you one. Theirs is a Tanita brand too.

Inserting a naso gastric tube into the stomach without the aid of fluorescope. You can't really see where the inserted tip end actually is. Sometimes when a patient is in an accident or has some sort of trauma and there is question of internal bleeding and for many other reasons, medical staff have to insert a tube into the stomach to empty the contents or provide a route to infuse medication or liquids.

The nail in the coke thing is NOT true, maybe in hydrochoric acid but not coke. If it did that to a nail think of what it would do to your mouth esophogus and stomach.

Like Judy said, we will be here for you. Best wishes and loads of prayers for you.

Did anyone else catch the new tv show on FOX last night MORE TO LOVE, it is a take off of The Bachelor, but it is done with overweight women and one overweight man. The one thing I noticed is how sad and teary eyed they became when they started to describe their love life and how they wanted someone to love them for who they are no matter how big they were. They all verbalized how sad and lonely they were and so young, most in their mid 20's. Talk about what obesity does to our psychies. I think alot of them need some therapy to improve their self esteem. I also saw a major difference in their occupations compaired to the show with the size 2 women. The bigger women were waitresses and nannies etc, where the regular bachelor show with size 2 women were professional types. This is just an observation mind you but there has to be some sort of correlation there. Of all of the fats women on the show, I only noticed 2 that were professionals, a rocket engineer and a teacher and one or two other more technical or professional type career types. Not in the same league as in the other show. These women all were looking for someone to make them happy when they werent happy with themselves. Just mho.

I can sooo totally relate to that feeling. I was/am such a foodie and I am grieving the loss of being able to eat and taste as much as I want. It is most definitely a mind thing. I just keep telling myself that I can have more, just not right now. Sometimes that works but seriously sometimes I just want a couple more bites when my stomach says NO. It just comes down to acceptance of my choice and what is more important to me. Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels. -

Anyone experience long bouts of nausea?
Ruthi replied to Ruthi's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well its 3 days later and I am starting to feel a little better so I do think it must have been a virus of some sort. I had a corporate lunch today and it was the first real eating out episode I have had since the surgery. I couldnt eat enough to make a dent in my food and I just had them put the whole plate in a doggie bag. My boss noticed but I told him I ate too much of the appetizers but he also knows I had a partial gastrectomy last March and knows I havent eaten alot since. Therefore he wasnt really surprised. I did notice how much the others did eat though and thought to myself, OMG, I used to eat that way.
