I am doing well, I had a 20 lb weight loss in 4 weeks since revision but have pretty much hit a stall. I havent gained anything back though. I hope the stall doesnt last long.

I am 4 weeks out tomorrow and I understand how you feel. I see others losing faster but then again, they weighed more when they had the surgery. The more you weigh, the faster it comes off in the beginning. I went through a 15 lb weight loss right after the surgery in about 2 weeks but after that I have slowed to 2 lbs a week and maybe only 1 lb if I am lucky this week. I exercise but its not showing up on the scale yet. I have just stalled and I suspect my body is getting readjusted and holding on to the weight as a response to the shock I put it through. I have been told that everyone goes through this so I am just sitting back and being glad that the scale isnt going up and I am not hungry. Hopefully this too shall pass. I did expect to hit a plateau but just not this soon. OH WELL

i can't believe i STILL have so many questions!

Photogirl, I felt the same way but I did notice that the thicker the soft food was, the faster I felt full. I officially start sold foods on Sunday but have gravitated toward it for the past week with soft but more solid type foods, just chewing to make sure it was softer before going to my stomach and I did definitely feel full quickly. It only took about 3/4 of a turkey dog on the 4th to get me to feel full and that was without the bread. -
I work in a building downtown Los Angeles about a block from the Staple Center and yesterday during the MJ services, some of my associates and I went down to the street and snapped photos of the funeral motorcade. I was wondering if anyone would like a copy. I think I even have a video if interested. Just give me an email address to send it to. No I am not a big MJ fan and No I am not a paparazzi. Just alittle history thing I suppose, I am not a professional photographer but they are fairly good. One of the photos is a faint image of a heart that a skywriter did and I caught it on my camera before it disappeared.

If you watched Michael Moores documentary "Sicko", you will remember that insurance companies are looking for a way to get out of paying for just about everything. If its not the VSG, they will find something else. I hope you get to change insurances to one that accepts pre existing conditions. -
Finally! I found some motivation and actually started exercising today. I walked 2 miles this morning and plan on doing 2 to 3 this evening. I hope it doesnt matter if at first I break up the recommended 60 min into 2 separate sesions, I dont get bored with it so fast and the time goes by quickly and seems to fit into my schedule better. Do I like exercising more now?,,,,uh NO. Will I continue, well lets hope and pray. I DO want this to become a habit that I dont mind doing and hope it makes the scale move downward faster. Lets pray I can continue to find some more motivation.

Size seven, that was a great post thank you.

Wassa you crack me up too, but I love it. I dont have those nursing errors to contend with anymore but I do have to contend with demolition workers trying to knock down building with the gas line connected and trying to blow up several city blocks in south Los Angeles. I hate when I get calls like that on a Saturday. Stupid men! Anyway. I can relate to all of it. The treadmill screaming as well. Stupid treadmill. What to do? I guess I should quit complaining, get an attitude of gratitude and keep on truckin. HAVE A GREAT DAY and ignore the assholes

Is this how it is?????

I think he already know that you are not NORMAL, I already know and I havent known you as long as he has. LOL. Both of you will feel better once you have the UGI or barium swollow and Dr Aceves gives you some info on what is going on. I think you are just a slow healer. -
That money going out every month serves as a reminder of how important this new me really is and what I am willing to go through to have a new life. Hope you like my photos I posted this morning. I am amazed at the difference so the band wasnt entirely a waste. I will post new pics in the near future. I am holding off till I hit onederland. Hopefully next week.

I would have loved to have only had to pay 10K for the band. I hate making that big payment every month for something I dont have anymore

If you need an expediting service, you can find one online. It will cost about 100 to 150.00 for this service if it becomes necessary

Wassa, dont be so hard on yourself, we strive for progress, not perfection. I know thats a Jenny Craig and a 12 step slogan but it fits in this case. I remember those bad days in Pediatrics, I had too many of those myself. One of the many reasons I left nursing and went into engineering. Its alot more fun and absolutely love telling men what to do LOL. We all havefound my comfort in food too at one time or another.

VAngell also forgot to add that the transportation to and from the airport is covered under his fee.

Linda, I am with you on that idea, with all of the technology we have today, someone should be able to come up with something, but then again, all of the surgeons doing WLS may lose some income. Think there is a conspiracy? JK
