Anyone banded Feb 3, 2009

We are coming up on a 3 month anniversary. How is everyone doing? I have been wondering where my port is. I can feel it above my biggest incision when standing up, but then I dont feel it if I am laying down. I got my first fill and the needle prick was below my incision. I am just wondering why the port moves. I have also had more than my share of PB and slimming. I am being made more aware of the way I eat. I go back next week for another checkup. -
I am down 30 lbs and had my first fill last Thursday. I was very anxious about the fill - next time atleast I will know what to expect. It didn't hurt - a little pinch almost. I got 1 cc in. I don't know how big my band is. I feel great. I threw up 3 times - cold smoked turkey, boiled egg, and tuna fish. They didn't sit well in my pouch. I am off of my cpap machine and off of one medication so far. I am happy about my decision.

yes, 5 weeks and I am down around 23 lbs. lost and I am happy to say that I never experienced the "bandster heXX" I did however, have a very upsetting experience on Monday. I found out that I can not eat smoked turkey. It got hung and lasted about 4 hours. I slimed, puked, slimed some more, pucked, and finally read somewhere that the mentioned drinking something fizzy so I drank two mouthfuls of mountain dew and it finally went down. Of course, I was feeling weary after that from all the comotion. I am drinking more soup again, scrambled eggs, and fish and sugar free popsicles. -

I would love to have the traveling pants. I am the mother of four girls and my youngest (12) actually did the same thing with her friends this summer. They found one pair of pants and just shared them. My girls would think it awesome to have someone do this for me - and I too can pass them on -

I let one of my daughters stay at the hospital with me for the night and wrote her excuse the next day - family comes first I am feeling much better today but I wonder if I am eating too much. I have had all of my Protein and liquids for the day (recommended amounts) I can eat a cup of Soup at a time - is that too much? I had a carnation Breakfast drink in the a.m. tomatoe soup for luch a popsicle and cream of shrimp soup for dinner (1 cup) I started my Vitamin, Iron, and Calcium today as well. I still take the pain medicine every 4 hours to keep me comfortable. I have walked plenty and even took a quick shower.

I was banded yesterday - the 3rd. I started feeling better about 10 p.m. that night. Mostly sore on left side where all the work was done. I am on a liquid/full liquid meal plan for 2 weeks. I forgot to ask when I can drive and when I can take a shower. I will make a call tomorrow to the doctor's office. I will also start counting my liquid and protein tomorrow and start taking my vitamins and iron.

I am also being banded on the 3rd. We can all support each other. I only have to do clear liquids the day before.
