    Surgery after Lap Band Surgery

Thanks for the response. I thought all would be well, it just feels better to have reassurance. Angel Dr. Spivak
  4. Good Evening all, and HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY. I had my lap band surgery on March 23,2007. Well, I have just been told I will have to have ankle surgery and it is scheduled for May 23, 2007. I have spoKe with both doctors and they both know of each surgery. The only thing I have had to do is have my fill taken out. Is there anything else I should be aware of? I am not excited about having to go under anethesia(SP) again, but it has to be done. Thanks in advance for any help.I completely trust my doctors and have all the faith in the world. Angel lost 27

The first time was no sleep study, and the second was the 6 month diet which I did, and they still refused, so I just gave up and did the self pay, I have a fatty lliver and I have to get my weight down because of that, or I could be facing a liver transplant in 10 years.

  7. Good Evening all, I am having my lapband surgery tomorrow. I am a little scared, I think of the general anesthesia(SP), but I am excited as well. This is my last resort, so I hope it works. I am ready in my mind, and I think that is one of the most important steps. Any last minute advice will be greatly appreciated. Have a good evening. Angel
  8. I was just wondering if insurance companies will reimburse you if you pay cash for the lap band, and then filed a claim? I don't want to have to pay cash, that is the reason I have insurance, that I very seldom use. Angel  :help:

    Aetna PPO

Oh well that will just be great. Why do we pay for insurance if we can't use it?

I was denied last year 2 times, so I have now done the 6 month doctor supervised diet. I have had the sleep study done, now I wonder what the reason will be for the next denial?

Great News for people insured by Aetna

Good Evening all. They have submitted my insurance for my lap band today. I am so keeping my fingers crossed. They were a little worried about the 6 month diet with a doctor. I had one for 4 months with one doctor and I was diagnosed with NASH, which one of the factors is overweight, and if I don't lose weight, then there could be complications later down the road.So plese all say a prayer and keep your fingers and toes crossed. They said we should know in about 30 days.

Great News for people insured by Aetna

I went into the office last week and was told by the staff then that AETNA is now covering the lap band. I have to prove that I have been under a DRs. care for the last six months, and that DR. has had me on a weight plan. I am going to my family Dr. tomorrow, as she has had me on a plan for longer then that. I have one more question? How long once all the paper work is done does it take for rejection or approval? Thank you all for your time, I just hope I am one of the lucky ones!!!! :usa2: :usa2: GOD BLESS AMERICA
