Jenn I am not doing anything to crazy. I eat about 1300 calories a day and excersise everyday.( walking about 1 1/2 and I just started curves) I eat all the food groups. I eat good carbs (whole grain) and thats about it. I think bigger people lose faster in the beginning. My loss has slowed to 2-3 lbs a week and Im happy with that. Thanks hope this helps:)
-
Well I only walk 1-2 miles 5-7 days a week. But its getting too easy so today I joined curves.I will see how that goes. I eat around 1300 calories of good healthy food. Even carbs but good carbs:) I do feel healthy and great. Its a big change from 4000 calories a day and no excersise. I also eat about 40 g of protein. I find it almost impossable to eat 90g of protein like the doc said but I feel good and its working and I just got to my sweet spot so its become alot easier for me.

LOL a gym rat. Not at all. I walk about 1 1/2 miles a day and eat around 1300 calories (healthy food) a day. I think its because I have so much weght to lose it just falls off in the beginning. Its slowing down now 2-3 lbs a week but I knew it would and Im happy with that. The walking killed me in the begining and now its a breeze so I now I need to add somemore excersise and I will. Im thinking of joining a gym but Im kinda shy LOL
-
Thank you. I think because I have so much to lose that it almost falls off in the beginning. Its slowing down now 2-3 lbs a week but Ill take it:)

marmar replied to pookiemp's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree with you guys. I love how us americans think if there 2 pieces of ice burg lettuce in it its a salad.LOL Like a taco salad. What is that all about. Tons of greasy meat loads of cheese and frittos oh and 2 pieces of lettuce -
Hmm, where do I start? (sorry so long)

Hey sorry I didnt mean to hurt ya. I just think being depressed sucks. I was just giving you my opinion. I loved to smoke and found it enjoyable and still miss it after 2 years but that doesnt mean it was good for me. Video games taking up all your life sounds like an addiction to me. -

one more thing. Im not perfect either.I had a cheeseburger for dinner tonight LOL Im not talking about your weight loss. Im talking about your depression. Fix that first. You are too important for that  -

I dont know what to say but go to the doc and get out of this depression thing. There is no reason you should be so depressed. Ive weighed over 400 lbs for the last 10 years and have never been depressed.Sad some days but every day isnt normal. As far as the video games. STOP. That right there could be causing your depression. You think its fun but all it is is another addiction. Just like gambling, eating, smoking ect. You need to excersise and get some fresh air and sunlight. Im not saying this to be mean. Im saying it because I want you to feel better. life is to short to play video games all evening and being depressed. Im sorry but Im only saying.Good luck. Defenetly work on the sad thing before anything because you cant do anything if youre sad all the time. -
Is salad a slider food?
marmar replied to pookiemp's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Im loveing salads right now. I always put chicken or some kind of meat on them. If ya ever have to go to McDonalds with the kids get a grilled chicken ceaser salad. Its awesome! It has 400 calories but you can make 2 meals out of it. -
If drinks go through the band I dont understand why we cant drink right up untill the time we eat. I understand waiting 30-60 min after but why before?

Feeling a little 'beaten up'
marmar replied to TracyNYC's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
the breakfast you mentioned is on the diet guide my nut gave me. no wrap though but half a wheat pita so its fine. People crack me up on this board sometimes. I wonder why they even got the band if they are such diet experts. I should move to Australia because i agree with there thinking too. Everything is good for us in moderation.even a little fat.LOL -
"Diets" after the band
marmar replied to critterlady's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
swigging alfredo sauce. LMAO thats funny. I also agree this thread is reassuring. I am only a baby bandster myself but I eat whatever i make my family( Ive always cooked healthy food with ALL the food groups, but wow! i ate like a full grown man so its so refreshing to eat like a little lady:) -
I just had my 4th fill 8cc in 14cc band and i feel nothing no change what so ever:( Ive never got stuck or felt sick. I can easily eat a couple cups of food. Shouldnt I feel something by now? Im freekin out. I am losing but its because I stop myself from eating. I never feel satisfied. Im just getting fed up I feel like crying
-
Are you afraid of needles in anyway? Because if you are maybe you can tell your family doc and he can give you some valuim for it. I have a very high pain tolerance so getting my fills has been a breeze and they have a hard time finding my port too. They poke me alot! Sure it hurts a little but it doesnt freek me out. Everyone is different. Im sure that would help you a little. And dont give up ya need those fills. Also Just request that the doc does them. Just be nice about it and they should be nice back. If they get snippy find a new fill doc. I hope everything works out for ya:)
-
I know this sounds stupid but i just got my 4th fill 2 days ago and had no different feeling. No restriction. I could eat anything as fast as I wanted to. Well I just got done eating 2 bites of ham and a string cheese and on my last bite I had this small uncomfy feeling in my chest for the 1st time. Is this the feeling of full? Or did I eat to fast?I hardly ate anything YAY. This band thing may work for me:)

Question about Quantity
marmar replied to Celestial's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How is everyone getting their protein and vegies in with half a cup of food? -
think I got food stuck and Im happy
marmar replied to marmar's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks guys. Im so happy Im getting restriction because I have been working my butt off and I want this band to chip in a little LOL. I feel my will power slipping and wanting to eat more so this thing working is a huge deal for me. I was about to give up but now with a little help from my friend ( the band) I think I can do this WHOOHOOO. I think I may have ate too fast for lunch but before this fill I could wolf the food down and no pain. So this fill must be it or at least close to my sweet spot. Its funny how you can give up on yourself and think nothing including surgery will work. I need some faith in this band. -
'Dieting' or 'Way of Life'
marmar replied to ElfiePoo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree "diets" are such a waste of time. There are plenty of skinny people that enjoy all types of food. They know when to quit. I personaly dont:) Thats why I got this band.
