Has anyone tried juicing? I have a juicer but i have yet to find a recipe I actually like a lot. I bought the juicing for life book. Then yesterday went and bought some fruits. Didn't know if there were any juicers out there! Let me know if this helped the food cravings! I've not had surgery yet but trying to get a head start!

I haven't made a green one yet most of those are veggies, and I'm not so sure I want to make a veggie drink! I have done apple with Honey dew melon, Strawberry kiwi and orange, and I did a black berry banana with silken tofu. They aren't that bad...rather enjoyable! It's actually not all that messy to do, and I hate to clean too...LOL!!

Anyone have the surgery in Knoxville or Maryville, TN?
BrokenSmile posted a topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I have two DRs I am looking at one in Maryville and there is one in Knoxville. I have the seminars Dec 9th and Dec 11th. I would really like to hear something from someone who may have seen Doctors locally. -

skinnyjenny08 aint so skinny and 08 is almost over!!!
BrokenSmile replied to skinnyjenny08's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Have you tried getting up 30 minutes earlier and maybe doing some cardio? Morning exercise boosts your metabolism. Or maybe on your breaks at work go walking? Tell your husband you need to have 30 minutes alone time with yourself. Have him take care of your kids and you take that 30 minutes whether it is to exercise in your room or walk your neighboorhood block. I hope that helps. I have not been banded yet.....BUT I do understand time can be rough to find, but if it is something that is essential try making the time. Post a schedule on the refridgerator and have the time you are going to have you time highlighted and make sure no one bothers you. Also, maybe take your kids for the walk with you? There are different ways to do things...you just have to find what works best for you. -
Thanks you! Your ideas sound great! I am excited!! Good luck to all of you

I am so glad someone talked about the WII FIT! I was wondering if there were people who did the wii fit and not a gym! So do you feel you are losing your potential weight? Or do you feel the gym would be more of a success? The reason in me asking this, is because I have self image issues about going to the gym, but I want to lose a lot of weight as quick as I can and keep it off. I have not had to surgery yet, but I am hoping to have it soon! Please let me know your opinion on if the wiifit works as well as a gym would? Thanks guys!!

Hey girl! I can feel your pain I have been over weight my entire life! Been on diets since elementary school as well. Athletics and everything...you name it. I am glad you are here and among people who understand. I found the site yesterday and met some amazing people. I found a lot of great information in the chat room though....have you checked that out yet? -
Wow, Thanks guys! I am hoping to try the baby food idea. I am a bland eater anyways. So hopefully I will be able to do the baby food! I hear Banana is so yummy though. Anyone else have any other suggestions to what is good through the mushy stage other than baby food?
