Hi Guys Just thought Id pop on and let you all knw my pre op diet starts tomorrow, besides the fact that i am truly scared out of my mind Im really excited :w00t: The surgery has come along so fast, Im looking forward to a new me.. Goodbye to all those horrible fat comments I get from people. :smile2: Im NERVOUS but here goes nothing:thumbup:

Hey Guys, Leah - my pain - ummm nope not constipated have realy been thinkign about it, and yep I reckon its gas....well Im hoping I feel much better today though still not 100% Im just thankful its not as sore as it was yesterday :scared2: I cant wait to get down to a 16 I would be so happy with that :tongue2: Ive got a long way to go, lets just hope all my hard work at the gym is going to pay off soon :thumbup: Congrats Leah for your weightloss, you are doing an amazing job :thumbup::bored: I know Ive said this a million times but I am so greatful for this website and all the support everyone gives, you all are truly amazing people.....I dont think I wouldve went through with my surgery if it werent for the things Ive read on here :smile2: Anyways, just a quick,. just got home fromt the gym and a nice spa.....time for some rest :thumbup:

I almost forgot The cow (mother in law) was at my house the other night, she constantly goes on about how she is a size 14 and how much weight she lost and blah blah blah, she picks up her jacket and what do you know the size on the tag says 18 hahahahahahaaha, Silly woman......I dont see why she lies about it :thumbup: Im ahppy to say that I used to be a size 26 and now am down to a 22, Im not going to lie about my size

Hey Leah, My pain is more the lower part of my abdomen, its more a constant pain, kinda like period pain (sorry if theres any guys reading) Im hoping its only gas, am tempted to give the doc a call tomorrow if the pain doesnt go away.... Im so glad its not just me getting the pains, I have so much running through my head its scary My weightloss is pretty good, though I seem to be stuck on the same thing now for the last few weeks....:thumbup: I work my butt off in the gym and nothing seems ot be happening on the scales...Though I gotta say the clothes are getting really loose. Its amazing to wear a pair of jeans to work and be able to pull them down without undoing the zipper Im looking forward to my next fill I hope to get a lot more restriction than what I have now... I had my first sick moment about a week ago, I brought hubby a cheeseburger and decided I wanted to try some chips, had a couple and threw up :thumbup: its strange how some things affect you nad others dont. How are you going anyway Leah?? I ennjoy reading all your posts you seem to be going really well.....You go girl!!!! Its all just too exciting sometimes i think:tongue_smilie:

Hi Everyone hope you are all doing great :thumbup: Leah hope you can help me out here, have you had any days where you have really bad stomach pains, I woke up this morning and had pains all over my tummy, not sure what it is.....guess maybe it could be Im working too hard in the gym. Just wanted to know if that happens to all of us or should I be worried I go for my 2nd fill on july 1 (had to change dates) hubby has to go in for day surgery...... Im hoping that this fill will make me fuller wuicker because I still dont get full all that much and I have over 5ml in my band... Down to about 22kg gone now, the last few weeks have been really hard but Im getting there, Have got a long way to go High fives to everyone Cheers Trish

Hey there I work in an office, sitting around pretty much all day, I had my surgery on the Thursday and was back to work on the Monday. I was a little uncomfy on the first day but after that I was fine, now a month in I cant even feel the band anymore, its great

Hey MsJess I went back to the gym after about 2 weeks, just took it easy for about a week, have only just started to really get into it. I love the gym, I hated not being able to go for that 2 weeks......Was at the gym this morning for about and hour and a half The liquad stage is pretty hard, but just think how great its going to be when all the weight starts falling off I went nuts shopping today :thumbup: Its so nice to fit into nicer clothes now Whereabouts in SA is everyone from? Im from Blakeview Am I the only person from the northern suburbs?? :blushing:

I got my fill on Thursday, Docotr gave me 5ml HAd to go back to the liquads for a day and now sat and sun on mushies then onto normal food on Monday Yipeeeeeeeeee Im so looking forward to some yummy food

Hey Everyone Hope everyone is doing well :thumbup: MsJess, I got banded on May 14th by Dr Anderson @ Ashford Hospital, I started my pre op early, but my 20kg Ive ost since the end of March so I guess just over 2 months. Just before the op I was at 13kg but 2 weeks after the op I hit 20kg ( ahahah a gold bangle in store for me from my hubby now ) I was on liquads for 2 weeks after the surgery then mushies, was supposed to be finishing the mushies at the end of next week, but the doctor told me on Thursday that I should start my solids on Monday The liquad stage wasnt too bad though it was only 2 weeks and for about half of that I was swollen so I could eat (well drink) much anyway so that helped. Im so excited to start eating properly on Monday. I have been craving a cheese sandwich and roast for months now. I did my first body jam class on wed night hahahaha it was funny but a great workout, Have gone back to the gym 4 times a week now.....I love it, have turned into a bit of a gym junkie :tt1::biggrin: Hey Tarob, I was petrified before my surgery, so scared that I started writing out letters to my loved ones in case I died, and notes for my husband eg, what our son has in his lunch box everyday I know its easy for people to tell you theres nothing to worry about, but you have to feel that for yourself. This website helped me through so much, just reading through peoples stories etc. Yeh everyone is different but you dont see many bad stories on here Ive noticed its great......Also being that your going through the same doctor as I did, his assistant surgeon Dr Sabine is just gorgeous he made me feel comfortable on my last appointment before surgery that most of my worries and aniexty went away :eek: You'll be in great hands, its gonna come around so quickly And as for that cow at your work, bloody hell she must be related to my cow of a mother in law, go on give her a big bitch slap :cursing: heheheh Im evil :cursing: She of all people should know what it feels like........Just know that you are a better person than she is :cursing: Trish:thumbup::biggrin:

Hey Everyone I had my first fill yesterday 5ml, I felt as though I had no restriction at all so am happy to have had the fill :biggrin: Have lost 20kg so Im excited. Still lots to go :biggrin: Going back for my 2nd fill on July 2nd Am starting on solid food Monday Yipeeeeeeeeeeee I am dieing for something to eat, something that I can chew :thumbup: Anyway good luck to everyone that has their dates, For me its been the best thing I have done in my life for myself :tt1: Its certainly is life changing :eek: Big High Fives to Everyone

Hi Guys, Oh how I remember the pre op diet, ewwwww yuck, I never want to see an Optifast shake ever again :redface: I had lost 13 pre lapband, got banded on May 14th and am now down 20kg and about 2 sizes oh and can you just imagine how excited I am about that. Good luck to you all on the pre op diet, its not easy but I promise it is so worth it. I had my first fill today, its nothing to worry about but I have to go back on liquads until Saturday then mushies again. Doctor said I can start eating normal food as of Monday.....Yipeeeee all Im craving is a cheese sandwich Anyway Good luck to everyone Trish

Hey there, yeah I used to hate shopping, but its nice to see clothes that will fit me and dont look ike granny clothes
How have you been? Im feeling really good, like I havent had an operation at all Though going for my first fill on Thursdya, thankgod for that because right now I dont feel any restriction at all, and to be honest with you and myself I have been a bit naughty 
I need to get back on the right track.....Have lost about 20kg though I think I may have put a couple of kilos on How much have you lost now? And have you had anything else to eat?
How have you been feeling? Hope you havent hadf anymore problems.

Nah not a scooby movie, it was a play called "Scooby Doo Stage Fright" I think they were Australian actors, my son loved it, He has been talking about it all day.
What are you doing for memorial weekend?? I would hate to be around all the beautiful smells of bbqs mmmm nothing like it. Just pretend your yoghurt is a nice thick marinated steak
OK I tried I still an waiting for my cheese sandwich, not grilled just plain old boring cheese.
I have gone nuts shopping again today, its so nice being able to fit into much smaller nicer clothes its great

Hi Guys, Tell me about it I almost fell over when I found out I hit the 20kg. Ive tried so hard and its payong off. Though Im sure it will slow down. I still have a very long way to go. :thumbup: The swelling my stomach has gone down now as I can feel my port just rubbing my fingers over my tummy. And Im also able to fit more food in now than what I could just after the op. Though im still not hungry......... 9 days to go Tarob, cool I'll be thinking of you. Hy husband works with one of Dr Andersons assistant surgeons, like Ive said a million times there are all great. Fingers and toes crossed for you Im back to the gym tomorrow, yipeeeeee well only on the treadmill and stuff like that, gotta do something Im getting bored:thumbdown:

I went to the doctor on Thursday and had my clips removed, he said my surgery was great, no problems at all which was good. I have lost another 7kg taking me down to 20kg lost, Im excited. i told my hubby before i started this that when I lose 20kg I want him to buy me a gold bangle........so hmmmmm when do I start looking....
Yeahhhh 1 more week of creamy liquad I cant wait its driving me crazy aswell. I have been having the weirdest cravings for cheese sandwichs, I dont even like cheese sandwichs. Im odd

Im so tired, we just got home from taking our son the see Scooby Doo in the theatre, it was great and he was so excited.

Hey Yipeeeeeeeeeeee got my clips taken out today and got weighed, have now lost 20kg. I told my husband before I started all this that if and when I lose 20kg he has to buy me a gold bangle (something that I have always wanted) and yipeeeeeeeeeeeee 20kg to the gram today :smile: hehehehe hmmmm who sells nice bangles :mad2: Hope everyone is doing great.....I went on my first shopping spree a couple of days ago oh and tonight :tt2: tonight, Have decided Jay Jays is my new best friend. Though there size XL is probably more a M..... its so exciting to sift through the wardrobe looking at clothes then can be thrown away, or better still I have started to list some things on ebay....mmmmm might make some more money to buy all new clothes.....sorry if Im babbling just excited about new smaller clothes YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE High Fives to Everyone!!

Nah most of the Star Bucks here closed down, guess they are only in the touristy areas, we have heaps of Hudson Coffee stores, they sell the best iced chocolate, hmmmm yummo

Qld is the most gorgoeus state in Australia, we quite often holiday in Surfers Paradise QLD lots of beautful beaches, theme parks etc its lovely. We'd love to sell up and buy an apartment up there, though its quite expensive to get something good. Have a look at some of my pictures on face book, I have heaps of holiday pics on there of QLD. Youll love it
I just had half a rainbow paddlepop ice cream with my sun, that was yummy but my tongue feels really weird now.
How did you go with the doctor? Im off to see mine tomorrow to get the staples out etc.

Hey Tarob, Good luck with Dr Anderson he is a lovely man, so are his assist surgeons if you get to meet Dr Sabine he is lovely, he made me feel so much braver coming up to the surgery. He is kinda odd but really happy go lucky. My Mum in Law is the biggest cow on earth. She is so negative about everything. Oh unless its about herself of course hehehe Ahhhhhhhhhh mother in laws, thank god we dont have to live with them forever. I have to see Dr Anderson on Thursday to get my clips taken out, yipeeee then the bandages can come off :smile: :laugh: How is everyone else going?

I went to work today, I work in a office so there isnt too much heavy lifting or anything like that
How long do you have to stay on the optifast for? Im on fluid diet, as long as it can be suck up a straw Im allowed to eat it. Though I still cant eat too much.
Im almost pain free now
Yipeeeeeeeee still a little ender where the port is but Im doing good........I am so proud of us
how good are!!!! How is your family around you when your not eating much? I have been cooking up a storm, and its all the food I love, dont know whats wrong with me hehehehe
I tell you what since before the op when I was on the pre op diet I have been craving a cheese sandwich. I dont normally like cheese sandwichs but I really want one. Not that I could fit it but I really want one hehehe Have you got any weird cravings or are you missing anything that you used to love?

We just brought a new car so its really light on steering so Im gonna give it a go today Only one of my icisions is sore, nothing to bad but Im getting there. I still have pain every now and then in my left shoulder, but all and all Im doing realyl good
Hows your eating going? I find I cant get much down, even liquads I dont have too much of that.
