    Coffee???

Actually I never heard of such a thing. I drink 2-3 cups a day, no problems.
  5. HELP!.....I haven't been on here in a while because I'm too ashamed and disgusted in myself! I was banded in Nov/08, was doing good for a while, then I woke up one morning and could not even swallow water! I called my doctor, and went in and the nurse suggested a slight defill. That slight defill was back in October/09. I felt great after the slight defill, except for the fact that I could eat a lot again! Since then I have gained back 10 lbs! Now its almost like I was never banded except for the fact that its harder to eat, you all know what I mean, Lol. To makes things worse, since my slight defill, my husband of 18 years has told me he wants a divorce! Needless to say my old eating habits have returned! I eat constantly! and very bad food choice's too. I'm posting this because I feel it's the first step I need to get back on track. I am constantly forcing my food down with large sums of water and then I continue eating. Yesterday I ate so much that I thought my stomach was going to burst! I have decided to go away for a week to get away from everything. Doe's anyone know how flying affects our bands? do I need to get a complete defill to fly? (air pressure?) Well I already feel better by posting this, if anyone has some advice or has gone through a similar situation I would appreciate feedback. Thxs everyone! :frown:

    I'm Gurgling...

LOL :cursing: I gurgle too! My husband heard it for the first time yesterday. We were eating dinner, and my husband asked me to mute the TV, and then said "do you hear that?" I started laughing and said "yeah its just me!" he thought it was quit funny! I have not hit my sweet spot yet either. I'm sitting at 5 cc's. Hopefully the next one will do the trick!
  10. I had the same problem. It was awful, finally I figured it had to be the diet so I ate 1 egg, and 1 slice of whole wheat bread. Almost instantly my headache went away! I just needed that little bit of "real food" and then I was fine for the rest of my pre-op diet. I still lost 14 lbs. on the pre-op diet, and my surgeon was more than happy with that. Hope that helps!

    chicken~

Me too! Chicken is difficult! I either have to cook it in the crock pot, use some kind of sauce, and take really, really small bites.
  12. Photos from my banding day are here:

  13. I'm going to Scotland in April, and I plan on getting unfilled before I go. I have heard too many horror stories, and I don't want to be miserable for my trip! lol
  14. Sure did! Banded 12/30/08 @ 1:30pm. Woot! I'm still a little achey, but havent had to take my pain meds just yet today. I haven't been eating much at all, which completely caught me off guard. Even when my sister was eating one of my fav foods, I think of how it could cause my band to slip. No way would I want to go through this surgical pain again!!!
