    Did I stretch my band?!

Should'nt be drinking the soda! So I was told anyway. I find that if I drink something hot tea/coffee, before my morning meal, then I don't get stuck, and if I don't, then I can barley eat in the morning. Not sure why.

6 weeks out and threw up

It sounds like maybe you got stuck. Have you gotten stuck before? when I'm 5 weeks out and have gotten stuck twice which resulted in throwing up. chicken will do it too! Not sure why you would still feel ill, and why your arms would hurt. hope you feel better.
  5. The reason we are not supposed to cheat and eat stuff like taco bell mexi melts ,is not because we can't physically eat it, but because our stomach's have to work hard at digesting the food. it can cause the stitches holding the band in place not to heal properly and cause a slippage later on.
  6. WOW, that really sucks! hopefully the 30th will be a go. I will keep my fingers crossed :-) Let us know what happens!

  7. I completely agree, maybe mushies, but hold off on the soft foods just yet. try some mashed potatoes, tuna, chili in a blender, scrambled eggs, baked beans, even christmas dinner....in the blender that is. Good Luck!
  8. OMG...that was horrible! I had just started eating my dinner tonight (curry beef stew), and bamm! I was stuck, real bad! I ran to the washroom, and then the slimming :drool:began, then I threw up! I couldn't believe it, I have been getting stuck all along, but I never threw up before. Now I'm wondering about my first fill. I am going into my 4th week, and not feeling much restriction anymore, I had great restriction untill last week, but I guess that was just from the intial swelling. I feel like I need a fill, because I could eat a horse, but will the stuck episodes get worse?

What was the first thing you ate?

My first day on mushies I ate some scrambled eggs for breakfast, soooo yummy, and for dinner I ate some instant mashed potatoes, and some baked beans, also sooo good! You will get full really quick, and make sure you take very small amounts!
  10. hey, hope your recovery is going good!

    Can anyone feel their band?

yeah, i know what you mean! i'm wondering if i will ever feel "normal" again. lol.
  12. I am 3 weeks post-op. and my tummy right above my belly button is still so swollen and kinda hard. Today I was doing dishes and when my tummy pressed up against the counter it kinda hurt. Is this my band I'm feeling? anyone else feel this? it makes me think this is my band because its more noticeable after I eat.

    Surgery Yesterday

I'm 3 weeks post-op, and I remember that pain on my left side! It hurt even more when I laid on my left side. sometimes I still get it when I lay on my left side. Good Luck!
  15. hey, i'm good, it was a bit of a rough go at first, still have lots of questions about how i'm feeling. how are you?

  16. Heather O, I just realized you are pregnant! I'm a little slow!,LOL.....CONGRAT'S!

  17. my band was placed in empty as well, not too hungry yet. my surgeon said it takes a good 6 weeks for swelling to go down after surgery.
  18. hey tamthetex, just wondering why you are having a fill already? your suppossed to wait at least 6 weeks. and if you are on mushies still, its not a good idea. i guess every doctor is different though. i have not had a fill yet, and i'm having a hard time with meat, i would think a fill would make transtioning to meat more difficult. good luck.
  19. Thanks so much Tess, I really appricate it!
  20. Hi everyone, I was banded 2 weeks and 2 days ago. I have horrible stomach cramps and diahrea ALL the time! every 1/2 hr I am running to the washroom. :scared2:I can't do anything! Christmas shopping is out of the question, and I am becoming so misrable! :tongue2: I had my 2 week follow up appt. on Friday, and the nurse said my diahrea was normal. But it can't be. not this bad! and now today I noticed a small amount of blood in my diahrea! I am going to call my doctor in the morning. Any one else suffered from this? any suggestion's?

    Back to driving?

I was allowed to drive when ever it was comfortable for me, as long as you aren't on any pain med's, and allow a day for the med's to rid out of your body.
