  1. Hi All! My surgery was Thursday, November 6th with Dr. Paya at West Hills Hospital in California. No complications so far and I feel great! Back up to 1 1/2 mile walk 4 - 5 times a week and looking to get back up to 3 miles in a week or so. Good Luck All!
  2. Greetings Fellow 11/06/2008 Band Sistas!!!! According to my meal schedule, the first day of 1/2 cup 'soft moist food' 3x a day 'food' is 11/22 so I'm already planning my Thanksgiving Day!!! A little dark meat, tad of mashed sweet potatoes, few string beans. . . .Whoo! Whoo! I have been going to Whole Foods and pureeing some of their deli soups which are tasty and thinning with some mashed potatoes and skim milk. I'll check out egg drop soup tonight! I'm thrilled to begin this new chapter in my life and look forward to better health, self esteem and opportunities.

    Banded 11/6/2008

Hi Everyone! I have been checking out this forum since July when I started on the journey to become banded and am sooooo happy to really 'join' club. I am Type I diabetic for over 30 years, insulin pump for 18 months, with about 90 lbs. to lose. Having done every diet program on the planet for 30 years I finally said 'enough'! Oh I can lose weight, but just couldn't keep it off. After going on the pump, working out 5 days a week (3 days a week with a personal trainer) following a heart health diet and gaining 40 lbs.! I went looking for a loooong term solution. Even though the doctors suggested bypass, I was not feeling it. . .so here I am, one of your newest bansters. Sugery done by Dr. Paya in West Hills, California and so far so good.
