    Cold Weather and More Restriction

Interesting you asked this. I visited the boards to see if anyone else had this experience. I've been banded for 11 months and have never had food get stuck. Today food got stuck at both lunch and dinner - not a good feeling! It's been cold here as well and that's the only difference I can think of.
  4. I have had a wonderful experience with Dr. DePeri at North Florida Surgeons. They are located next to Memorial Hospital on University Blvd. I've also seen Dr. Hagan a couple of times for a fill and like him as well. Below is a link to the practice. I hope you don't need to get to know them on your vacation North Florida Surgeons
  5. My surgery was 16 days ago. Yesterday was the first day where I felt really good. I feel like a whole new woman this weekend - not as tired, port doesn't hurt as much and no longer wondering what in the heck I did to myself. That being said, my recovery might have taken a little longer since I was laid off two days before my surgery. It was difficult to relax and take it easy when I was worried about how I'm going to pay my bills. That stress is there but at least I'm moving around like normal now. Hang in there - it really does get better each day.
  6. Thanks so much for your input I've been so scared I've been waiting a good five minutes between bites. Good luck on your journey!
  7. I was banded on 11/7 and am just starting to eat soft foods. I am very scared about getting food stuck and am eating very, very slowly. How long after you take a bite do you know if what you are eating won’t work with your band?

    Sharp Pain

I'm new to the board and was banded on November 7th. I was searching the web today to see if others had the sharp pain described in the original post and came across this board. I began experiencing sharp pain near my right ribs last night. The pain was intense every time I moved and I couldn't find a comfortable way to sleep. It seemed to hurt whenever I did something that made me use my muscles in that area this morning. It was a sharp pain. I saw my surgeon today and he said the pain is where my port is and that what I am experiencing is normal. I sure hope so! It doesn't feel bad now but I'm scared to go to bed tonight. How long did it take for some of you to feel comfortable sleeping? Thanks for the input!
