My recovery was pretty simple. I took three days off of work (Had surgery Wed and went back to work the following Mon). I was sore the whole week I went back, but everyday was easier. Good luck to you.

Hi Marie,
Thanks for the complement. I bet you are so excited about being banded! It seemed like forever before I got banded. I had to jump through so many hoops for insurance and it took almost 6 months, but it was worth all the hard work and I did a lot of soul searching before to make sure this was the best option for me. Now...I can honestly say it is one of the best decisions I have ever made.

55 lbs lost but I have skipped out on my workouts the last two weeks. I am 5 lbs behind my goal weight, but that's my fault. I better pick up the workouts again!

It is not a bother to talk to you. Feel free to send me a message whenever you have questions. I will do my best in getting back to you, but sometimes that may be a few days to a week.
I have a PPO insurance and it is through Aetna. Aetna made this a big struggle and I had to jump through a million hoops before they approved me and they are still trying to not pay even though they were forced to approve the lap band. (They sent me two denial letters and I had to appeal each... it took 5 months before approval and I know that Top Surgeons is still waiting to be paid... just another hoop to jump through. Top Surgeons have made things easy for me and they have done all the dirty work to get the approval. There have been no hidden fees and my out of pocket expense has been gas to the Dr. office and about $100 for co pays. I am very pleased.
