Band to Sleeve in One surgery
aloudwhisper replied to Bndtoslv's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I went from Band to sleeve on September 19th, and i must say that this been the highlight of the surgery minus the weight loss. I'm still adjusting to this feeling. I can't remember the last time I felt content and not stuff. A nice content, without the desire for one more bite. Over the weekend I went out to eat. Ate more of my seafood, because it was soft. Didn't desire any bread. Didn't want the salad, cause I wanted my food. Ate a few bite of other things on my plate. Left a lot, and didn't even want to take it home with me. I was wondering who I was. It's the new me. Lol! Was full throughout the night as well. Great feeling! -
Still 280. This has got to get better

Have you tried sleeping on a body pillow? I'm nearly 3 weeks out and I am still sleeping on it. It annoys my husband, but I am trying to heal and I can't lay on my stomach

September Sleevers!
aloudwhisper replied to SleevedSharon's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am so sorry to learn that you are going through all of this. I was on liquid pain killers. Hydrocodine and I had a pill for nausea that desolved in my mouth. You should still be on liquids and creams. You might want to have some yogurt so that you can tolerate your meds. It's gonna get easier. You are 2 weeks behind me. -

Sept. Band to Sleeve Here
aloudwhisper replied to Chuchie05's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Are you mixing up you protein, or are you drinking the same thing? I am working on being sure to get my vitimans in. I have been struggling with it. So you aren't alone in the struggle. -
280! Yay! 16 pounds down!

How did I miss your post you are the first person that have seen that had their surgery the same day as me. It's 13 days postop for us. How are you feeling? I am great, well I was until I started having this gas pain. Actually I was thrown off, because I didn't know what this was. It feels like contractions or something they way they come and go. I have some gas x at home (what good does that do for me?), so i will be making a quick stop to get some relief.

I can only eat one egg. Normally I add cheese. I probably should get some cottage cheese in stead of cheddar. I had no issues with gas pain until 2 days ago. I was totally caught off guard, with this pain. But it comes with this process :/ -
Welcome to the other side. I am 13 days out. I was just encouraged to keep sipping. It's hard. So popsicles and jello helps. I also enjoyed hot broth. I would drink it out of my portable coffee mug. It only allows sips at a time. That make it much easier for me. You want to find protein that really works for you also.Ok, well I missed it. I guess people are just make a commitment to walk a certain amount of miles per week?

I moved to Birmingham, Alabama 2 years ago. I had my band at Washington hospital, but I converted here. I am not cleared to work out yet. I have been trying to really take it easy since I went back to work 5 days out. I am on soft foods. I am trying to get use to the sleeve and not stuff my sleeve. It's so crazy, small things like eating eggs is not a struggle. 1 egg, can sometimes be a lot for my small pouch, so I am learning my tolerance. I want to begin working out. I'm going to a conference this weekend, so i will be doing a lot of walking. I am ready to take this thing to the next level.

Oh ok, but can I gather some info regarding the challenge
-
Even with pain, sounds like you are on your way!
-
I am interested in learning more bout the challenge.

Well I had a lot of breakage and lost with the band, and i am gonna do all that I can to prevent it from happening with the sleeve. I also have had a lot of damage to my hair from being locked. But I'm am getting in my kale and other fruits, vegetables, vitimans and biotin. Cause I ain't got time for the hair to have issues during this wonderful process.

Pureed Stage One Week Early
aloudwhisper replied to Westfield27's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
All that fluid was making me nauseous and severally constipated. But you might want to become more creative with you food. Have you had egg drop soup? I was so happy when I had that for the first time. It was wonderful and I felt normal eating it. Cause fluids only is really the worst. -
Pureed Stage One Week Early
aloudwhisper replied to Westfield27's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That's the way we have to look at this thing. The weight will come off. I think you might be in the scale too much. I am only getting on once a week. I don't need more than that. I am learning this new process and keeping my mind occupied. I created an Ig page just to chart my success. I am researching what others are eating. You have to also start thinking about what you are gonna do with the time that you weren't eating, cause that could be an issue down the road. -

aloudwhisper replied to Rovobay's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am a week behind you. Just wanted to know how you are feeling? I am up and back at em. I am trying to take it easy some, because I don't want to wear myself out. I am now on pureed foods, and i am not having any problems. I just don't eat more than my body will allow me. I go slow and I am always good. -

I am weighing in weekly, and nothing more. I want to know where I am, but I don't want it to be all about those numbers on the scale. -
