  3. Okay, I have a problem and wonder if anyone else has this problem and what you did about it. I had my first fill two weeks ago and I am having great difficulties eating "regular" food and not just mushies. Went to the doctor yesterday and he said to stay on full liquids for a couple of days to give my stomach a rest after all of the retching and vomitting I have been experiencing. I have never obsessed so much about food and I do now: "If I eat this, will it stay down. Am I getting enough protein when I can't handle meat. Etc." My fill wasn't that much (1.4) but I didn't have this much trouble even after my surgery in January. Any suggestions or similar experiences. My doc says to "relax and breathe" which I agree, but still I am having a difficult time knowing what is normal. Thanks, Bonnie

    Irony... what a pain...

I too hate the idea of the TAKS test. We test our students too much and what do we gain from the TAKS test? I have to go back to my surgeon tomorrow because since I had my first fill a couple of weeks ago, I can get enough protein (Meat will not go down) and even simple things like scrambled eggs come back up. I tried soft foods for about a week and although the weight is falling off of me now, I am not eating normal foods. Any suggestions? Since my surgery in January I have loved thirty pounds, but because of my low protein in-take my energy level is getting lower by the day.
  5. String cheese is great and good for you, just try to get the low-fat kind. You can also get sugar-free jello in the to-go cups. The sugar-free puddings are great and slide right down. Don't forget you can always mix sugar free instant breakfast in with your yogart to flavor plain yogart and get extra protein in your lunch. Applesauce and fruit in luch cup sizes are easy to pack and eat. I teach and the lunch bells ring too soon for me, also. Try not to snack and learn to relax, take a crossword puzzle with you, because you have to put down the fork when you answer the puzzle. Good for the brain and helps slow you down. Good luck.
