My surgery date is 2 days away and I am still smoking - I tried and tried but no success. Everything else is going well, pre-op diet, tests, insurance approval. I tried Chantix and I am currently reading Alen Carr's book... should I postpone my surgery? I guess I have to call my surgeon to discuss. Sorry everyone, I guess I just needed to purge the stress. -

I am scheduled for Dec 11th also - started the pre-op diet the day after Thanksgiving. Day three and all is okay - I added fat free & low sodium broth & it really helps to mix it up. Good luck - the first day is the most challenging.
