For the hospital.. your wash bag, hand towel and slippers, and then for the hotel i took slim fast (didnt drink it tho)a couple of cup a soup with no bits, rennie and nurofen melts, i only managed a 1/4 of the cup a soup as that filled me, if your going on your own take slip on shoes/trainers as you wont be able to bend over to fasten, and loose fitting clothes. I felt hot and a bit dizzy at the airport and asked for a wheel chair.. i explained that i had surgery and they got the porter who took me and my partner straight threw and we didnt have too queue at all, so dont be afraid too ask for help if you need it, i think i would of passed out if i had too queue, not because of pain so dont worry, its because im not brilliant after anaesthetic x

Hi homecare, i took my dressing gown but didnt wear it once and wish i hadnt took it, the gowns dont show anything so your ok, and after the op i used the bedpan till i felt ok too get up too go the toilet, i didnt take any dressings with me just had them at home ready for when they needed changing. You can take a book with you and if you feel up too it then you can read, doesnt matter if you dont, everyone is different after ther ops x

Welcome back suefee im glad everything went well for you, make sure you get plenty of rest as that will help you with your recovery..everyday your pain will be less and you will be soon on here posting your weight loss x

Hi penny it was the time of the month for me and the morning of the op i we were told too take our under wear off.. i explained too the nurse about it being the time of the month and then told i could keep them on, thank god. I dont have a easy time of it either but i really wouldnt change your app.. you never know if your worried about it it might make you late x

Hi homecare try not too worry too much im sure everything will run smoothly for you.. the pre op diet is just low fat so dont worry too much about the calories, it is the fat content, as this will shrink your liver and make the op easier for dr chris. x

Hi tee-bird after your fill you are too stay on liquids for a couple of days, i find the weight does start too move again after the fill then slows down again. Iv flumped on the liquids for a couple of days, that time of the month and been on the nibble .. but thats ok i'll start again in a couple of days. The band does seem too give you the inner strengh tho x

Hi high anxiety the hospital give you soluble painkillers to take home with you also anti sickness tablets, i tried the painkillers in apple juice and water but couldnt drink them, they were disgusting so i just stuck to the nurofen melts which i though worked really well.. i only needed painkillers for a couple of days x

Same here, i still use nurofen melts when i need a painkiller and take the chewable multivitamins (orange flavour) from boots x

Well done on your weight loss odge and you sammy, hope you have a fab holiday, just think next summer you will be strutting your stuff in a bikini lol x

Hi michelle, welcome to the forum.. try and get chance to read back the pages which will be a massive help, i booked everything separate but the package does work out a little cheaper and of course you dont have the hassle of booking the hotel, flights or taxis as it is all taken care of, its the best thing i have ever done for myself and dont regret having my band, any questions just ask away someone on here will be able to help x

I would of gone for the wls but there isnt 1 anywhere near where i live, so manchester is the best option for me. this will be my 4th fill so hope it will get me a decent restriction x
