Welcome to the forum toppings, i had my band fitted in january and i would say its the best decision i have ever made, my only regret is that i didnt have it before. I went with dr chris in belguim, my decision was made after reading all the great reports on this forum, the hospital over there was spotless, the staff was great and all speaking very good english, Frederik comes to see you at the hotel the day before your surgery and also he pays you a visit at the hotel after your surgery too check you are ok. You will be in very good, safe hands. Dont forget we are all on here helping eachother out with any advice and support, goodluck x

Hi mmm bet you are so happy with your weight loss and what a decision to make a size 12 or 14, cant wait till im at that stage. I have got to be strict the next couple of weeks as iv got my school reunion at the end of the month.. i havnt seen over 90% since leaving school in 83 x

Im the same as you mmm i have to peel all fruit i even have to cut grapes in half an eat the middle and leave the skin lol x

Hi suefee well done on your weight loss so far, how long did you stay on liquids for? What did you have to eat that got stuck? I remember the 1st time it happened to me and it is scary at 1st and it hurts like hell.. i still get it now if i try and eat things like chicken or red meat, it just shows the band is working and we have to watch out for the signs x

Hi mandy, dont worry about your port moving, when i got home and took my plaster off i had noticed mine has moved, its about a inch further down and over too the left, my other fill injections were next too my port scar, i think its to do with the weight loss. It did take him a little longer to find it this time. Im sure once you start eating you will feel the restriction. Iy was lovely to meet you and tee-bird and a couple of others and hope they join us on here x

Hi adagiodiva and fatduck i think once you get your band you will realise why frederik doesnt put too much saline in your band in 1 go, you usally get 3ml on your 1st visit, 2ml on your 2nd and then 1 or 1/2ml depending on how you are doing, iv just had my 4th fill today and have had 1ml put in. i think we all expect to be at full restriction from the start but if they done that we would be overfilled and wouldnt be able to eat and would struggle to drink.. the good thing with wls is that you can go every 2 weeks so would get to your sweet spot quicker, i think we all need to be patient and work with the band x

Hi mandy your doing really well with your weight loss and fingers crossed it will continue after your fill. Michelle i think most of us have stayed at the hotel campanile vilvoorde, my partner walked from the hospital too the hotel in 15mins (he's a slow walker lol), it is very close. Sorry i cant help you on that 1 timeisnow, im sure somone on here will be able too x

Hey gary i have never had a ticket too put in my car yet.. i have seen others get them but i seem to ov dodged that one, must be cos i only went too reception on my 1st visit, now i just go striaght to the lifts to go up stairs x Well done gillian, bet your made up with your weight loss x

You can have your 1st fill 4 weeks post op and cost £90, then you can have them every 4 weeks if you wish till you get too your full restriction, there is some on here who have had a package deal from wls clinic where you can get your 1st fill 6 weeks post op then you can have fills every 2 weeks, if you can get the 6month package it is a good deal x

Hi michelle, well you have made the 1st step of booking your band, you wont regret it im sure. most people on here stay at the hotel campanile vilvoorde, its clean and basic but for what you need it for its adequate. When i had my band there was a lady from kent and she got the train but when i heard from her a few days after getting home she said the journey was awful as she wasnt feeling too good, i would say which ever is quickest i would use x

your right in what you say but its just the way i was thinking at the time.. regarding the ticker i will do it iv just got too get my head round it, im really not very good on computers lol. my weight is still stuck and hope after my fill on thursday it will start to move again, so far i have lost 2 stone 2lb x

Hi homecare, im sure your liver will be ok lol, my only worry leading upto my op was that i was the biggest person he had operated on (i was 16stone) and then when i was out on the table they would be saying how big i was, its just our minds playing with our emotions x

Hi shellyg your doing really well on your pre-op.. well done, i would have a yummy last supper the night before your op tho. You will be fine when you go for your op, its only natural you are thinking the way you are most on here going for there ops have, i think a lot of it is because your going a broad. Just think of all the positives this op is going too bring you and you know we are all here too support you any way we can x

Hi pixie your right it is a bit of a slog, i think we all expect the weight to fall off us after our band.. you still have to work at it and watch what you eat but once you get your head around it it gets easier x
