Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris
wishfull replied to susanlondon's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Hi lewisabbeyalyssa i also tried everything for the wind and i found that normal rennie worked better than anything and walking around helped, if its so bad it might be worth having a word with your dr just to see if they can prescribe something different, i still get it in my left collarbone (same as gillian), i thought it was because of the cold as i broke it years ago but no it is the wind travelling up, i probably only get it a couple of times a week and its not to bad, hope you get it sorted x -

Hi lewisabbeyalyssa im glad you and your mum are on the mend, you will feel better everyday that passes. Regarding your dressings you might be better off just changing them and trying a different brand, the ones i had from the dr's surgery made me itch and my skin dry but when i used the ones from boots i was fine x -

Hi shoes i think you have got just about everything you need. You are given 5 injections when you leave the hospital.. you give them yourself 1 a day for 5 days, its to stop your blood clotting, they will give you a leaflet (in french) that tells you what to do, its ok they have got pictures to show you, also the nurse who comes round to do your 1st one the day after surgery will show you what to do. Just thought have you got tablets for trapped wind? x -

Hi mmm you have got the same band as i had fitted, frederik told me it depends on the size of your stomach on which band dr chris gives you.. the other bands hold slightly more than the 7ml, this is why i think im not feeling hungry..its a smaller band anyway also iv got 3ml fill in it. I go walking every weekend and maybe thats one of the reasons i have done so well with the recovery, We done a 7 mile walk around alwen reservoir (n/wales) y/day.. i just love walking and being out in the fresh air. Keep up the good work with your recovery and make sure you get your rest, your doing really well x  -

Thanx shoes i think your right a lot of it is in our heads, i know it was in mine before i had my band, i would eat even if i wasnt hungry just snack for the sake of snacking, i dont any more.. i did tell frederik what i eat during the day and he said i was doing well and how well i had changed my attitude towards the food.. he said it takes some people years to change. Also i havnt had any problems going the loo, im still as regular as before my band. Bet you cant wait to go for your band especially after reading how well people are doing and how well they are recovering x  -

Englishrose I dont think id change anything if i was you as you are doing so well, i have my tea on a side plate so i dont have to much, saying that some of the time i cant even finish that as i feel full, it takes me ages to eat it as im scared of eating to quick or swallowing to big a piece, i done it once and thought i was going to die, it really hurt. -

Hi fatpants you do seem a lot happier today, glad you are. Iv lost 16lb so far and i had my 1st fill y/day with frederik.. im back on liquid diet for a couple of days. My pre-op diet was yoghurt drink for breakfast, slimfast for lunch and low fat meal for my tea, mainly chicken and veg.. i only cheated once in them 2 weeks with a packet of crisps (i love crisps), i lost about 6lbs during this time. frederik was pleased with the weight loss and my diet at the min and iv been told i can start swimming, so im going to go 3 days a week with my daughter. Im not going next week tho its half term and itl be full of kids x -
