Hi suefee, our flight time home was stupid o'clock in the morning.. it was hard going if im honest, i wasnt really in pain its just that i was so hot and felt faint, i asked for a wheel chair at the airport and then a porter took me and my partner straight through, didnt have to queue to check in or anything.. so if you dont feel to good ask for one, the staff at the airport were great x -

Hi sammy, what a holiday you would have.. cocktails and ice cream mmmmmmmm. I have got more restriction this time and struggle a lot more with foods but still need more in, its going to be a long wait till june till my next fill so i'll have to turn to the will power again lol x -

Hi suefee i think its all going to be trial and error as we have all used different medications and would recommend different, i used nurofen melts and found they worked well for me, i still use them if i need to take a pain killer.. like sammy i had my dissolving stitches taken out as they seem to take ages to disolve. I bought dressings from boots and when i went to see the nurse at the dr's surgery the nurse gave me a load of dressings but they made me come out in a rash and itch like mad, just ask away if there is anything else... we have all been in your position x -

Hi all, i have just spent ages reading all the past posts.. im up tp date with them all now. Welcome to all the new one's.. im sure you have read it but you wont regret going with dr chris and his team, they are all great, staff at the hospital are fab. Hi freckles i didnt put my plan into action.. i just asked him to check how much i had in my band as my restriction was less than what it was before my 2nd fill, i should of had 5ml in but only had 4ml so he put in 1 1/2 ml in for me.. my restriction is better but still not brilliant, just got to wait till i go in june. Glad your mum has been moved and hope things will keep improving for her x -

Hi mandy, i have to agree with gillian and bobobaldy.. the surgeons over here are obviously taking advantage of people who are desperate and would do anything as a last resort with there weight, my dr like gillians was made up for me and gave me her blessing (she had heard about dr chris), the staff over there are 2nd to none.. the hospital so much cleaner than ours not to mention a couple of thousand cheaper, I would not pay the prices for surgery over here when you can save yourself a lot of money x -

Hi shoes im like you i cant eat any kind of bread what so ever.. this feeling you are getting could be your restriction or they may not of been gentle taking the tube out of your throat and that is causing the discomfort, if it doesnt improve over the next week it may be worth emailing dr chris, peace of mind if nothing else.. i couldnt eat much for the 1st month or so and stayed on liquids and mush. i had more restriction before and after my 1st fill then nothing after my 2nd, i have my 3rd tomorrow so i'll see how i get on after that one, just hope i get a decent amount put in. x -

I have had terrible wind since having my band, everyday i have had to take something to ease it as i was getting awful pain in my shoulder BUT the last couple of days i have eaten a little bit more and hey presto NO WIND, i was on liquids only during the day and having a healthy meal in the eve.. i obviously wasnt eating enough x
