Hi sufee, the biggest scar is the port area which is about 1 1/2inches, if that helps regarding you getting your dressings, i got mine from boots and were good, my dr gave me a load aswell but i got a rash from them so just used the one's i got, you dont have any steri strip stitches they are dissolving stitches and the 1 you have taken out is where the drain was, only very small. I had my dissolving stitches taken out as they were getting on my nerves lol, i had healed by then tho x -

Hi jemmima puddleduck, i think most of us on here have had the same problems with food as you have, i have yo yo'd for the last 20 odd years, the weight would come off and then it would always go back on and more with it, in the last couple of years i had put about 4 stone on an realised it was just to much for me to do on my own, the band isnt a magic wand you still have to watch what you eat but its a massive help, i wouldnt be with out mine lol.. After surgery i had pain but only in my port area and after the 2nd or 3rd day i didnt need any painkillers, i had my 1st fill 1 day under the 4 week post op, i didnt feel a thing (i think it was still numb after the anaesthetic). My typical day of eating is.. actimel for breakfast, small bowl of cereal for my lunch and then something like salmon and veg or salad for tea.. just something healthy and low fat, i dont usually need anything inbetween meals but if i do its usually a cereal bar or low fat yogurt x -

Fred (frederick) works close to dr chris.. dr chris will do your surgery but it will be frederick who will come to the hotel to see you he also does the fills for dr chris, in manchester he does anyway, if you have booked the package you will have a taxi waiting for you at the airport if you have booked it all separate you sort your own taxi/transfer from the airport to the hotel, myself, gillian and big sister all had our meetings with frederick separate, he came to our rooms to see us.. also the day you leave the hospital after your op frederick will come to see you in the evening to see if your ok, a plus.. they are both easy on the eye lol x -

Hi homecare if your BMI is low(er) dr chris will just get you to sign a form.. i know one of the other bansters had to do this, i wouldnt worry to much about the weight loss the pre-op is more about shrinking your liver with low fat foods 2 weeks before you op x -

LOL the multivitamins are to stop your hair falling out, i would recommend you start taking them as mine has started to come out and a few of the others are the same.. its because our body isnt getting everything it needs as our diet has changed, i think it only lasts for the 1st 12 months, i hope anyway xx -
