  4. I was banded 13 November. All went well, really onto the babyfood puree stuff and make up four meals at a time. Make tem as tasty as possible and you will feel satisfied. I have staples in my wounds and have them out next tuesday. Pain was horrendous the first two days but feel better all the time. I Don't get hungry, but must make varied meals as easily bored!
  5. Hi Gaby Just picked up your email, I had my operation last Thursday morning. I felt all the apprehensions you are having. When you see your dietician they will probably ask you to keep a food diary for a month. Be absolutely honest in it. I have always taken the easy way and cheated about my food intake etc and in the end you con yourself and all you get is unhappier. Be frank woth them and remember of you have a lapse, then record it.YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE. I wish I had known about lap bands years ago as I have suffered for too long.. This is your great opportunity to change your stars and good luck!

    Hello from Dyt, Ohio

Dear Hazeleyes I just got your message, many thanks, operation went well last Thursday, out of hospital yesterday and feeling ok. Bit sore but ok. I already feel much more positive than I have ever been in my life as I have always been overweight. I have already lost 8 stone myself and with diets but I was getting to feel demoralised. Now I weigh 99kg, for the first time in 30 years. I am now 56 years old and wish I had done it sooner. Look forward to hearing from you again regards morgan52
  7. Hi, I've just registered with the forum today as my surgery date for a lapband is Thursday. I live in France now and I have been overweight all of my life. I have tried everything under the sun but the real problem has been me. I would welcome any news on how people deal with the first few days post op and how I may feel. The surgeon and the support team have been great, although I am Welsh I speak french fluently and feel very happy that I am having this op in this country and not in the UK. I very nearly died at the start of 2008 and spent 9 weeks in hospital so this is my new start, I am not a religious person but I firmly believe that I am being given this opportunity to" change my stars."
