I am just looking into the possibility of getting banded. I've dieted off and on all my life with very temporary positive results. I just cannot do it anymore--I end up gaining more each time I lose weight. Restricting myself is getting harder and harder to do. Anyway, I am looking into the banding procedure. Very concerned regarding possible risks. I am pretty healthy overall. I do have sleep apnea.:eek:

Thank you for the suggestions. I am scheduled for a presentation given by a bariatric surgeon on Monday evening, Nov. 17. I have an appointment with a new primary care physician on Nov. 13. I called my current pcp and was told it will be December 2 before I can get in! It is time for a change when your doctor can't get a long-term patient in.
